What are your DD plans for 2015?

For me my priorities are:

 

I have a Saber Extra on layaway along with some clothing. Paying that off is my first priority.

 

Stands for my existing dolls.

 

More clothing and shoes, and a new display case.

 

I would like to get Haruka Amami, and Yukiho Hagiwara. Those are both low priority for me though. I want them mostly because I have Makoto & Chihaya, and those girls are paired with them in the story. They would be a nice way to round out my Idolm@ster collection, but that's not really driving me very hard.

I have my first one on layaway, so going to pay that and get her! And since she's mdd, I have a bad feeling that I might end up getting a bigger girl this year too..

Going to fix my sewing machine and make a lot of cute outfits for her and be as active as I can! :3

My plan for 2015 is to hope no dolls I like will be released lol.

 

I have already made a doll purchase for 2015. I am rewelcoming Mikuru back into my doll family.

My plans for this new year as others here, is save money for my first DD and also finish my own DD boy, is going to be a great year

 

My plans/goals for 2015 are:

1. Buy clothes for incoming Miku and Ranka. And Saber Alter and Sasara if I am lucky enough to win them.

2. Don't buy any new dolls other than said lottery dolls listed above.

3. ...unless a Sakura Kinomoto MDD/DDS happens to pop up this year, then I'm going for her.

4. Pay off Ranka later this year when I get the invoice.

5. Find somewhere cat-proof to put all of my dolls. They live on a bookshelf at the moment, but that's only big enough for two of them.

After a VolksUSA order to get some of those things that I'd like to get, I'll probably save up a bit of money and do a huge Taobao order. Or do a CoolCat order and then a Taobao order. I'd like to get some of their stands but that is less important.

 

Some time this year I'd like to get my Obitsu girl reshelled, but that is super low priority.

That reminds me, at least one or two outfits and one pair of shoes

My four current girls are mostly complete, now. I need to fix Chen's ears still (ordered a glue-gun to stick them to some hairclips). Kyouko needs an outfit (pending) and Rin also needs her outfit (almost complete). Hina is essentially done.

 

Now I have Hina's real head, I want to get the old 03 Yukino I had on her a new faceup to make her a bit happier and cuter, since it is a rather melancholy looking face. Then that will be going on a DDS body. I also have a few random spare parts, so if I get other bits I am missing I can make a franken-girl out of all sorts of bits and pieces. So I may well have six girls in the next several months. That sure snowballed quickly. Hasn't even been a year since I bought my first (the Yukino).

Main goals: pay off my Chihaya layaway, put in an order for Snow Miku as soon as her preorders open, and hopefully get the chance to pay for Sasara and get her home at the end of the month. I'll also be looking into Uzuki when more information is released. And then get stands, wig caps and some casual clothes ASAP. I'm rather glad Miku's release isn't until next summer. ^^;

1. Get more clothes for my little baby.

2. Build her a room! She needs a little castle with diamonds and silver mountains.

3. Buy her more tech gear! She needs a proper audio system, tablet, headphones, another Macbook...

4. Find and buy a DDdy body and DDH-06 head.

 

And now, save money!

1. Not to buy clothes for my DDs. I finally want to learn to sew so if I want something for my girls to wear, I need to make it myself. Buying shoes and other accessories is still ok.

2. Get the wip dolls done (sw Alna needs DD3 body instead of her DDdy and Miki needs the one piece body that was default of her set)

3. Make a etsy shop to sell the knit stuff I make for DD

I have NO real plans for this year. Why? Because every time I make plans, they get dashed to pieces!

 

I've tried so many times to stop adopting girls that I lost count. But here I am at 33 now and there's really no end in sight. So since I'm giving up trying NOT to add new girls to the family, I've decided to let things go as they do and if a DD becomes available to me that I can't say no to ( which is MOST of them! ) then she'll get adopted.

I will do whatever it takes to get one of her. Beg, rob and steal? Check. Punch someone's grandma in the face? Check. Take candy from a baby? Sure, why not? If it brings Tamaki home to me then I'm down.

 

The only other real plans I have are to start getting more clothing for the girls and to set aside time to build some photo areas for them. I'm tired of having the same old boring backdrops I always do in photos. I want to make something like a trifold wooden backdrop that is 3D and has windows in it, maybe even a window seat and some bookshelves, so that the girls can look like they have their own scaled living space. I've got several ideas, I just need to figure out how to start the process of building and then get to it.

 

That's all I really have planned for now.

Your post also reminded me that I, too, would like a photo space with scale props and such!! I went to a thrift store and managed to get two chairs! I have even found really nice DD sized wardrobes at an antique shop that I would like.

 

Okay now I'm thinking of all the photo space opportunities...Cafe, office, living room, kitchen...agh I need all of them!

Plans are thing which you have to follow.

And i would be to depressed to have to plans ^-^; so i plan impulsively only got 1,2 plans but this are exceptions.

Oooh I love making plans but it's not often I stick to them or even get them all done XD

 

I told myself no new dolls this year on that other doll forum, but I'm thinking that just applies to resin ones. Lately I've been thinking it would be nice to have 3 girls, one on each body type and skin colour. Possibly 4 if I decide I need a MDD.

 

* Purchase a DDdy body in NS for my Yaya and sell her DDIII body

* I'm in negotiations to purchase the head of a dream girl, so I'll need a DDS body in WS for her

* Pre-order Snow Miku! Even though she won't arrive until next year, I guess it still counts as a plan for this year?

* Sew more clothes!

* Take lots of pictures and set up some photo areas, maybe get some nice backdrops

* Just have fun

DD plan 2015

1. got one Volks Set

2. get new wig and eye with budget i put

3. work hard to increase income for new daughter, and upgrade body to DD III and finish project

Well, I can finally say I'm good with DDs. ^-^ My plans for 2015 are so far to find a bunch of new clothes for Sasara. Not so easy since I'm very picky but almost everything I love is not available in DDdy-size. I also have to find more Halloween clothes.

 

Anyway, I'm super happy that I can finally focus on clothing for my girls instead of chasing after a doll.

1. Finally buying a stand, and some products like Wig-spray/suits for my soon to be 2 dollfies.

2. I will probably order a new Miku-Outfit if they will be for preorder. Maybe getting the new Red Riding Hood-Outfit if it will come indeed in may, then I will have hopefully money again after Melty Christmas Version.

3. not spending too much money for dollfie-stuff. XD

4. thinking about ordering Snow Miku...

Since this thread was started in Dec. I'll backtrack on some of the things since some of this year's 'To Do' list has already been worked on.

 

Top Priority:

 

• Get Ringo her own body Done!

• Finish an outfit for Ringo Working On

• Buy Lucas' shoes Done! (and I couldn't help it so I tossed some in for Rainie, Ringo, Ralph, & Dakota too. )

• Make wigs {Rainie, Ringo, Ralph, & Lucas all need them but I'd like to have alt wigs for Miku & Bree as well} Working On

• Buy parts to finish Lucas' DDS boy body Done! (I'm still in shock!)

• Make Lucas' two 'default' outfits that I need for his intro story.

• Make clothes for all the boys since their isn't enough pants to go around!

• Don't buy any more floating heads (oops!)

• Remove hair from the pre-rooted Volks head I bought oops! but Done!

• Do faceup on pre-rooted head (has to wait until spring)

• Get Obitsu 45cm boy body for pre-rooted head

• Buy MDD S bust for Bree (currently she is using the bust from the above mentioned body type )

• Attack Miss Lottie's hair with a flat iron Done! (I was having such a hard time bonding with her that I was starting to be at a loss, however she LOVES her straight hair!)

• Finally decide if Miss Lottie's faceup is getting wiped, or just retouching the lips on the default faceup Done! {although it was 'fixed' by buying another Kos-Mos head that Anouc did the faceup on...}

• Save & Pay for Sheryl & Ranka (& Sheryl's outfit I keep forgetting I also ordered.) Working On

• Convert Sheryl into a boy (Madison), either a DD/Obitsu hybrid or a Smart Doll boy body

• Fix & reprint Naiomi's cat eye glasses (currently the ear pieces are too short)**

• 3D model Miku's geek glasses & get printed out**

• Work on rebuilding files for Naiomi's Closet (computer was fried in a lightning storm when a local substation was hit) NO NEED! {Raven was able to remove the fried piece from the motherboard and I was able to transfer it ALL to my new computer (and promptly backed it up.)}

• Finish updating Naiomi's Closet & getting the durn thing open! (This takes about 60-75% of my time) Working On, fighting with, screaming at, & trying to make progress everyday. {I had no idea it was going to be this hard...}

• Make & test new girl clothes too

• Daily DD photo (that I'm currently failing at because of time sensitive projects have put it on hold) Scrapped for now because I just don't have the time.

• Get a photo with the whole DD family (we have either 13 or 14 finished. I forgot... )

• Update my sig! Some of our kids are missing!

• Make or finish the various props needed for photo stories (like beds, bedding, chairs, specific clothes, bits & bobs) Working On {Currently working on Ellie's bed}

• Photo stories, photo stories, & photo stories! {Decided to write the 'family story' and post sections of it every week since I'm years behind, making photo stories for all of it is kinda impossible with everything else I'm trying to work on.}

 

Added:

• Save for Smart Doll boy

• Save for Sister's first DD Working On {Belated 40th b-day present, but also her own 'model' since she's designing things with me for Naiomi's Closet and needed a reference for herself.}

• Need to design & test a replacement MDD neck joint to have 3D printed** or just buy the CoolCat one (but that's not so interesting to me. Plus I'm tired of things like that feeling like they are hard to get a hold of just because they are so far away.) {This is part of my bigger plans/desire to make a full metal internal frame replacement for our DD/MDD bodies because I'm tired of the breakage issues & Volk's lack of options.}

• Design DD scale packaging for Naiomi's Closet Done & ordered!

• Design more outfit designs using my existing fabric prints & purchase for testing Working On {My Sis has done some too. Yeah, two designers!}

• Make 360 degree sculpt pics of blank heads & heads with faceups Working On {I did the pics of some the other day and just need to get them assembled and uploaded.}

 

**Just haven't had the time or desire yet to buckle down and learn Blender. Still in love with 3DS Max but the cost is staggering.

 

In case you were wondering, this list could have been a lot longer!

 

The only thing I've got mixed feelings about is getting the Smart Doll boy as soon as I can. I have a lot of good reasons why I want/need it once it's available, but I don't know who it will ultimately be for. It might be a perfect fit for Madison, but he can also have the DD hybrid body with very little additional cost. On the other hand, having the SmD boy would give me a chance to see if it would fit Kiyoteru. If I didn't get it, then I'd be able to get a DDdy body for Miss Lottie since I tested her on Dakota's and she just fell in LOVE with it! (Currently Ralph is using her body...) I was really shocked to see her so happy (without any alteration to her faceup) after she's been here more than a year and feeling lost this whole time.

 

To make the choice even harder is the SmD boy body feels more like a business choice (to draft clothing for) and Miss Lottie is a bit more of a personal choice, plus I might be able to get the Obitsu 45cm boy body as well. It really boils down to this:

 

SmD boy Madison (DD NS body leftover) --> Ralph inherits body & is complete (DD SWS body leftover) --> Lorelai inherits DD SWS body

-Or-

DD hybrid Madison (uses default body), new DDdy body for Miss Lottie & new 45cm Obitsu boy for floating head, & Ralph keeps using the DD SWS until he gets a NS replacement (sometime next year.) Lorelai either way will get Miss Lottie's original SWS body so for her it's just a waiting game.

Do any one know what is their plan for new dolls this year or how often they release new dolls throw the website ?

I'm really trying hard to adopt my first DD! ;--; I've been dreaming of dolling my OC up for a very long time and I've been researching and studying about the dolls but I'm very good at procrastinating doing even the things I want to do!!

Looks like, right now, my plans are going to be "Save Save Save," since I preordered Snow Miku. I also would like to start working on another DD, but my top priority is getting everything ready for Miku's 2016 arrival.

I'll have to revise my plans and add finding another MDD!
