What are your DD plans for 2015?

I like the size of MDDs, and wouldn't mind more for loli characters, but changing their hands is ridiculous, so I won't get another.

 

My only solid plan for 2015, now being in to it, other than finishing my current girls (as previously mentioned) is to do a Dy modded L bust, because Dy size breasts are hideous, but I like the larger Dy waist; it will suit at least for two characters I have in mind. But only one is definitely planned for this year.

Plans? I try to have plans but I think my DD kids have all got me wrapped around their miniature little fingers. And Miku is turning into a mastermind. In one fell swoop she managed to add 4 more finished DD to our list (making it nearly 20) by next summer as well as secure herself a new outfit and the remaining fullset of her hands.

 

 

Plan? I think the only one I can truly count on is that I'll be working my butt off. I haven't sold my soul to Hades, I've accidently sold it to Hatsune Miku. I'm trying very hard not to notice the fact that she's already jockeying for Luka, Kaito, & Kamui Gakupo to find their way through the interdimentional portal she has created in our house. My suspicions is that Naiomi had her hand in it too. Who knew that their friendship, that no one thought would ever happen, would have such terrifying consequences.

 

Oh, and that no more floating head rule? It isn't even March and I've broken that rule twice.

Looks like I've completed my 2015 plans! I just bought a body for my floating head~

Now to spend the rest of the year buying clothes for two girls O_O

I've been thinking about it a lot and I think I have a pretty solid plan now:

 

Back to basics. My girls need shoes, and clothes. I don't own any wig caps or "dollfie supplies", no additional hands. VolksUSA recently got the carrying bag in stock, I'd like to get one of those. After a VolksUSA order to get some of those things that I'd like to get, I'll probably save up a bit of money and do a huge Taobao order. Or do a CoolCat order and then a Taobao order. I'd like to get some of their stands but that is less important.

 

Some time this year I'd like to get my Obitsu girl reshelled, but that is super low priority.

 

Addendum to this: Nia took a dive off my bookshelf the other day, which pretty much moved CoolCat order in to priority after Volks. (I've had the carrying case sitting in my Volks basket for a while now... I need to quit being so indecisive and pick which hands I want to get.)

I totally understand! I had no intention of getting any other Vocaloid themed DD, and yet she seems to be demanding I customize one into Kokone, and potentially one or two others! I'm not looking forward to my wallet being drained so soon

I keep breaking my "don't buy any new dolls" rule. First it was Erica, and now I have a Miu head sitting around. Volks finally shipped her body out, so my only plan for her now, other than get her a wig, is to get her a L bust once Volks restocks them. I have some lovely L bust clothing sitting around that no one can fit into.

 

I really need to implement a "STAY AWAY FROM MANDARAKE!!!" rule. And, yes, the full caps are needed. I seem to buy something every time I visit. Erica and Miu are both from there. orz

my plan for 2015 is to buy my first dollfie dream *.* I always wanted a DD, but this year I am determined to fulfill my wish!

And I am already off to a good start, body is ordered and hopefully soon in my hands. (^_^)

My plans are very very simple.

 

1. Get my MDD girl a faceup!!

(finding an artist I like is proving harder than I thought...why am I so picky? )

2. Get a big DD girl?

(it starts with finding the perfect face...the rest should be easy, right?)

 

And that's it! Yeah. Simple. I hope. >.<

My ongoing plan is to acquire 2 more white skin DD bodies, having to share a single body between 3 girls has become much more work than I bargained for. Although given that it took me a year to track down an auction for one and that the WS II body has been discontinued by Volks it looks like it'll take longer than this year to complete...

Perhaps actually finding a girl i will be super happy with~ xB Most likely a used girl.. I love rehoming. :3

Here's the progress on my 2015 plans thus far:

 

→Save up enough money to get Maki her DDS body. I'm halfway there!

DONE!

 

→Work on a secret DD project (not a secret to those I told lol)

Yuni is here with her new eyes in, but is still in need of a proper wig & custom parts made

 

→New wigs for Maki, Melon, & Seraphina will be very early 2015~

Maki's wig arrived, but the color looked completely different from what was pictured. Plan on buying a new one from For My Doll. Melon's is still being made. And I want a custom wig for Yuni from For My Doll as well. And I'd like to get Rhea a wig from Leekeworld (see below). Seraphina's wig is the only one that arrived and looked awesome haha

 

→Enter After Event Lottery to help my friend get her grail girl, Sasara. Fingers crossed!

She got her Grail girl yay!

 

→If extras are won (doubtful) I plan to keep a Sasara for myself

And we did win extras so I got one for myself as my 1st DD Lottery win. I love my Rhea

 

→But if that doesn't happen & a Mariko re-release happens I will be all over that

Since it did happen not sure this will happen haha ^^;;;

 

→Other than the above it'll be the usual gathering of clothes/shoes/etc that catch my eye

Not too bad for only 2 months into 2015!

Only a few days after my last post, and I've ordered a SW Dy body, since Volks restocked the whole bodies. Other parts are pending. L bust to replace the grotesque dy one, and some outfit parts will take a while. I want an 07 head for her, but they're not in stock anywhere, so that'll have to wait.

 

So, my plans for this year are going swimmingly.

My original plans were just to replace my DD Yukino, whom I had to sell at a very low point in our finances (which really broke my heart), and for whom I've since saved up to replace, and have ordered (and am waiting for--eeeee!). Somehow I have also managed to get an Aoi, and made a hybrid DDS with a different Yukino head and a Parabox/Obitsu 40 cm body. And, I have two DDH03 heads that need to be painted and somehow supplied with bodies. I think I've OVERreplaced my first dear Yukino.

Plans.... (hope my loving bf doesn't read this, he's already like, "You spent HOW MUCH??!!")

 

I just received my first DD whom I've named Sakura, so I'll start there. I want to get her a few outfits and shoes so she isn't stuck in the same thing all the time.

 

I've gone ahead and pre-ordered snow miku, so I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for any other miku outfits.

 

I've decided that I can't resist the MDD's , so I'm planning to get one for my birthday, along with more outfits...

 

Sadly I already have plans that go into next year which include hopefully getting a smart doll.

Well, I ordered Snow Miku, but seeing as she won't be released until next year, she doesn't really count, haha. I intend to buy my first DD (an MDD, actually) when I go to Japan in a few weeks. I figured I would just get a standard model, or maybe a second-hand girl from Mandarake, depending on how high the mark-ups are- they're always high, alas, though buying from the actual store would cut out shipping costs.

 

Buuuuut then I saw a customized head recently when I was browsing YJA that I fell utterly and completely in love with, and I decided then and there that I would be buying a base body and a blank head to send off to a faceup artist. Which...is kind of a huge step for me, because I've never bought a blank doll before (the kids in my resin crew all have factory faceups). This route feels like the right one, though, and I'll have a doll that looks exactly the way I want her to.

 

So. Pulling Evangeline together is the big DD project this year. Considering what a large expense this trip is, I doubt I'll be able to look into other DDs. Plus, I've got to save up for Miku!

I am paying by layaway my first DD she will become Tsukino Usagi

 

I am tempted to get Snow Miku but can I really include her in 2015 because she won't be released before 2016.

 

My only plans would be to get Mamoru (Tuxedo Kamen to go with Usagi) Although one of the DD coming out this year looks a lot like Hino Rei...

My plans for this year include Ranka and Sheryl when they're related released at the end of the year, and I'm looking at getting a little mdd lady to join my other girls.

 

Beyond that I've got a few "cosplay" projects planned. I'm building the props myself and getting some costumes made up by others. Hopefully the first one will be ready by June.

1. I'm hoping to get my first dollfie for 2015.

2. Sew lots of things for her!

3. Make her a cute room.

4. Be bankrupted from buying her too much....

 

I'd also like to get my other dolls the makeovers they so very badly need. Guess we'll see!

Saving money for buying Ranka and some outfits.

Buy more dakka for my girls and/or some kimonos/yukatas.

Buy coolcat aluminium neck joints for all of my girls (buy one already for Neneko my MDD).

DD Mio Honda is on my wishlist, whenever she gets released. And there's a DDH-02 head that I have my eye on, and would have to get a body for her as well.

 

I really want to get a lot of Alice Collections clothes for my DDs, I want to have a school uniform for each one, plus an everyday outfit for each one also. And some Arietta Project eyes. All of my DDs will have them, eventually (I hope).

 

Really though, with my purchase of Saber in January, I SHOULD be done for the year!!

 

Edit: I am upgrading my DDH-06 (Miki) to a Dynamite body! This is something I've wanted for her for a while now! Her current DDII large bust body will be used for the DDH-02 I want to bring home someday. And I AM planning to enter for Mio in the Dolpa 33 lottery.

 

Edited the edit: The DDH-02 ended up on the Dynamite body instead! And Mio Honda is almost home!

Here is my currently updated list:

 

• Get Ringo her own body Done!

• Finish an outfit for Ringo Working On

• Buy Lucas' shoes Done! (and I couldn't help it so I tossed some in for Rainie, Ringo, Ralph, & Dakota too. )

• Make wigs {Rainie, Ringo, Ralph, & Lucas all need them but I'd like to have alt wigs for Miku & Bree as well} Working On

• Buy parts to finish Lucas' DDS boy body Done! (I'm still in shock!)

• Make Lucas' two 'default' outfits that I need for his intro story.

• Make clothes for all the boys since their isn't enough pants to go around!

• Don't buy any more floating heads (oops!)

• Remove hair from the pre-rooted Volks head I bought oops! but Done!

• Do faceup on pre-rooted head (has to wait until spring)

• Get Obitsu 45cm boy body for pre-rooted head

• Buy MDD S bust for Bree (currently she is using the bust from the above mentioned body type )

• Attack Miss Lottie's hair with a flat iron Done! (I was having such a hard time bonding with her that I was starting to be at a loss, however she LOVES her straight hair!)

• Finally decide if Miss Lottie's faceup is getting wiped, or just retouching the lips on the default faceup Done! {although it was 'fixed' by buying another Kos-Mos head that Anouc did the faceup on...}

• Save & Pay for Sheryl & Ranka (& Sheryl's outfit I keep forgetting I also ordered.) Working On

• Convert Sheryl into a boy (Madison), either a DD/Obitsu hybrid or a Smart Doll boy body

• Fix & reprint Naiomi's cat eye glasses (currently the ear pieces are too short)**

• 3D model Miku's geek glasses & get printed out**

• Work on rebuilding files for Naiomi's Closet (computer was fried in a lightning storm when a local substation was hit) NO NEED! {Raven was able to remove the fried piece from the motherboard and I was able to transfer it ALL to my new computer (and promptly backed it up.)}

• Finish updating Naiomi's Closet & getting the durn thing open! (This takes about 60-75% of my time) Working On, fighting with, screaming at, & trying to make progress everyday. {I had no idea it was going to be this hard...}

• Make & test new girl clothes too

• Daily DD photo (that I'm currently failing at because of time sensitive projects have put it on hold) Scrapped for now because I just don't have the time.

• Get a photo with the whole DD family (we have either 13 or 14 finished. I forgot... )

• Update my sig! Some of our kids are missing!

• Make or finish the various props needed for photo stories (like beds, bedding, chairs, specific clothes, bits & bobs) Working On {Currently working on Ellie's bed & bedding}

• Photo stories, photo stories, & photo stories! {Decided to write the 'family story' and post sections of it every week since I'm years behind, making photo stories for all of it is kinda impossible with everything else I'm trying to work on.}

 

Added:

• Save for Smart Doll boy

• Save for Sister's first DD Working On {Belated 40th b-day present, but also her own 'model' since she's designing things with me for Naiomi's Closet and needed a reference for herself.}

• Need to design & test a replacement MDD neck joint to have 3D printed** or just buy the CoolCat one (but that's not so interesting to me. Plus I'm tired of things like that feeling like they are hard to get a hold of just because they are so far away.) {This is part of my bigger plans/desire to make a full metal internal frame replacement for our DD/MDD bodies because I'm tired of the breakage issues & Volk's lack of options.}

• Design DD scale packaging for Naiomi's Closet Done & ordered!

• Design more outfit designs using my existing fabric prints & purchase for testing Working On {My Sis has done some too. Yeah, two designers!}

• Make 360 degree sculpt pics of blank heads & heads with faceups Working On {I did the pics of some the other day and just need to get them assembled and uploaded.}

 

**Just haven't had the time or desire yet to buckle down and learn Blender. Still in love with 3DS Max but the cost is staggering.

Commission the first evolution of her sword and paint it myself.

 

I can't seem to make an original character and be happy with how she turns out, so I'm going to try to make Umi. Hopefully with a set look to achieve I'll be more happy

I'm hoping to get a MDD sometime this year (crosses fingers). With any luck, she'll be the start of a new phase of my bjd collection. My hubby will be so thrilled......
