PuPaKa Posted July 13, 2015 All my current plans revolve around assembling my first girl. It's been harder than I thought tracking down the right eyes and wig for her. I recently got some painting supplies from Volks and I have just about enough saved for her body, but I'm not quite there yet. And of course, she needs more clothes ^^. It's too bad I'm so poor, hehe. That's probably all I'll be doing this year in the hobby. (I still like to "window shop" for things I can't afford yet, though.) LariesDollHouse Posted July 13, 2015 My current plans involve getting my first girl, who currently has the name Misato, and putting her all together. It'll be the first time in like, what, almost a year since I had a doll head. Next comes the waiting game on her body, except at this point, I don't know which'll come first. Next, I really wanna get one of those Smart Doll boys!! I've wanted a boy DD for as long as I can think of! And I'm not missing out on him for ANYTHING I don't really have much planned after that. sweetmouse Posted July 26, 2015 I had no plans at all... until I impulsively just bought my first MDD a week ago. So now my plans are to put her together. It's all so overwhelming, and since entirely sure how I want her to be. My biggest obstacle is to figure out if I'm going to send her head to get a faceup done (no time to do it myself), or to stalk yahoo to find something that I love. jadepixel Posted July 26, 2015 Well so far I've got mixed results for my plan. I did finish my DD2 tan girl! But I ended up getting Sanjie for her tan body... and some other girls I'd wished for besides >.< And I bought more Volks outfits... but I did get some nice handmade clothes as well. Though I haven't sewed much I did make a nice dent in my sorry stack of blank heads and got a lot of faceups done. Minuette Posted July 27, 2015 I've been thinking about it a lot and I think I have a pretty solid plan now: Back to basics. My girls need shoes, and clothes. I don't own any wig caps or "dollfie supplies", no additional hands. VolksUSA recently got the carrying bag in stock, I'd like to get one of those. After a VolksUSA order to get some of those things that I'd like to get, I'll probably save up a bit of money and do a huge Taobao order. Or do a CoolCat order and then a Taobao order. I'd like to get some of their stands but that is less important. Some time this year I'd like to get my Obitsu girl reshelled, but that is super low priority. Bit of an update to this post since we're almost in to August. I got Nia some hands? That's about it. :C I'm so bad at money. In my defense, I moved. In my non-defense, I just got a promotion at work and my husband got a raise because of the move, so I really have no excuse now. Though I missed the Volks case, I'll have to see about finding the pink one. Since I have to search for one now anyways, I can afford to be a little picky. Also gonna add to my list: I'd like a nice little compact system camera. Our post-move finances should settle down after this weekend, so soon girls, soon. Cry that I didn't win her then sigh in relief as I don't have to pay for her and her outfits just yet. Assemble Felicia's mom (Jenn) and her modern casual, modern adventuring and goddess outfits. make jenn's 2 tone wig. Wait for sheryl release to put jenn together...or not. I could end up cancelling my sheryl preorder before the deadline, still haven't decided if I can make sheryl's head work for jenn. Source a second 07 head for cheap to make castings of. Sculpt and cast Felicia's ears. Sell ears for 07 head lol.... maybe. Find seamstress to make tactical vest for jenn and felicia, and someone to possibly make their goddess outfits. Figure out how to make some swords for jenn. felicia's casual and most of her adventuring outfits are assembled. no goddess outfit though... will probably have to get it made or make it myself. cancelled sheryl preorder... got my hands on an 09, got it faced up, dd3 and a treefairy outfit. Got a purple wig... started modding it for jenn, still have some ways to go. Might have to find someone to make me a proper wig. got the cheap blank 07, have a set of test ears... got more epoxy putty for more ears. Probably won't sell them.. who knows. Might just sell off the various iterations I come up with and call it that. Got a bunch of fabric so I can make Jenn's outfits.... Had to redye some of it... in the process of testing it for bleeding. I have all the velcro, buckles, cordura and ribbon to use for webbing to make the tactical gear. more to do's: Find/make a pattern for a lined fitted jacket or shirt make the jacket for jenn. make patterns for tactical vests make vests for both. paint and color match the finalized set of ears for felicia make some 3d models of Jenn's swords edit some 3d models for felicia's other guns Get a ton of stuff 3d printed sand/prep/paint said printed stuff At some point before the making of stuff, I need to learn how to sew However, the further I get along, the more felicia is looking spot on to what my old drawings of her were. Innocentsake Posted July 31, 2015 DONE → My 9th girl, Yuni, is complete! → Obtained 4 of 9 swimsuits. → New wigs for Seraphina, Maki, & Yuni. → Entry put in for Mariko Summer Festival Ver. Talk of the done & ongoing~ Yes Yuni-chan is finally complete! I just need to wait for her beautiful wig (which will be pink/purple/blue) that Amara77 created to arrive. But I've already gone ahead and debuted her on my Flickr & Instagram. Here's a picture in case anyone was interested and hasn't already seen her. I love her so much I did get a couple of swimsuits, but I do need 5 more The wigs for Seraphina & Maki did come in awhile ago and they look wonderful. Seraphina looks great in all the wigs and Maki now looks like Nishikino Maki Annnnnd... yes I did put my entry in for Mariko As soon as I saw the announcement for her I knew I would have to put my entry in and at least try for her. So we'll see what happens with that, but the wait is long and agonizing Jezatron has sold me two really nice outfits~ Now I must pay him off Pretty sure Maki is going to get both of them hehe. And totally unexpected thing for 2015 is making YouTube videos! I had always wanted to do this, but always felt too shy. But thanks to talking with katnaper & SK I've been able to start with one and now I've made several.
