Iris & Diana - DDH-05 mod and faceup W.I.P (Diana Finished)

Hi everyone!

 

Today, despite the weather, has been a day full of working on mine and Pharaviel girls arrived just a few days ago from volks jp, Iris (my girl, normal skin) and Diana (Pharaviel's girl white skin) are two 05 heads which i decided to paint and was fool enough to try to mod too, even if it was my first time, so this is a kind of walkthrough trough what i've done so far.

 

Firstly i decided to mod the lower part of 05 face under the lower lips, it really bugs me the innatural profile 05 has if seen from the sides with the chin completely flat from the lips and on, so i wanted to create a more natural one, and while i was at it i tried to mod the mouth itself (just in my girl).

Those were the results compared to Pharaviel's white 05 (always on the left) still not modded:

As you can see now the profile is more similar to newer molds (06-07) with the lower lip more exposed and the chin less flat.

 

After seeing the result Pharaviel asked me to mod also his 05 profile too like mine (tool simil-fake- dremel like, sandpaper and tiiiiiime ) , then i started faceupping both the girls after have washed , sealed with a coat of MSC challenging the weather which was getting foggy and cold , luck was on my side it seems since the coat came normal) .

 

Iris received 1 and half face up, i was not satisfied with eyebrows and mouth so i redid them, and on those pics is on the left, the brown-aired with red eyes; Diana instead is on the right, purple eyes and blonde hair , but actually they're still both not finished (waiting tomorrow to seal with MSC , applying gloss etc)

I really like what you did with their mouths. Good job and pretty girls!

They are coming together pretty good

Aww that's a really flattering compliment to say, i feel so noob on doing those things (Diana and Iris are my first mod but they are also just my third and fourth faceup ) and i'm happy to see someone likes them

A little update:

 

Something went wrong with Iris last coat of sealant and i had to wipe off the faceup and restart again (not too bad since i prefer this last one so far) , while i was at it i gave a try to mod more her adding a bit of epoxy in her mouth with the idea to paint her a smile, we'll see if i will win this challenge or if i'll fail

For what concers Pharaviel's Diana she arrived safely to him as a christmas gift and we have the first "official " photo ofher

Finally Iris is complete! It has been a foolish idea to mod a head with so little experience but i like the result, even if is far from perfect
