I'm Soalianna ! I'm almost 20 and I'm located in France (So I'm french, and I'm sorry for my english....).

Since 1years I'm (really) fond of BJD ! I'm cosplayeuse since 4years (and costume (for shows) students since 2years), so by this tows passion, I obviously look to the side of Dollfie Dreams (and more generally, anime dolls) !

I discovered Dollfie Dream the first time when a girl ask me for an outfit commission for his DD. Yes, in fact, I make outfit commission for dolls, and know I really interested to make « cosplay » for doll ( for DD and naime doll so ^^ )

 

In first time i doesn't like the anime head, i prefer custom Bjd human head in manga type. But know I think about buy anime head for my girls !

Seeing the dolls you have listed (2 fairyland bodies if i remember well) i think you might need a way to adapt DollfieDreams heads to fit resin bodies if you would like to just buy the heads since DD are in vynil - and are not stringed like resin bjd- ( DD have not only anime/manga heads but also bodies pretty manga/anime too in matter of proportions respect resin's dolls for what i saw) ; also i think it could be difficult to match skin color between the 2 materials, however you could buy your own anime heads for resin's bodies from Sqlab for example, which have resin's anime heads , and there's an off topic section on this community about Sqlab heads http://www.dollfiedreams.com/viewforum.php?f=39

That's right I have to Fairyland bodies, and for the chracter I plan to make, these bodies is best than DD bodies (to my mind ^^ )

 

Mainy poeple make a DD head on a SQlab (resin) bodies, the color match is okey, and it's not so hard to do this hybridation ^^

And for my Minifee I'm looking for an Chibi Tsubaki head

But for my Feeple65, probably it's will be a DDH-03 head (I'm a bit scared that the SQlab head are to small for a Feeple65 body (which have 1one on the more bigest head cirbleepference in BJD world ^^ )

For what i know sqlab sells bodies to match DD heads but it's the only/best match around to make DD/resin hybrids.

Take in consideration before buying that DDH-03 is the smallest DD standard head, so it could be small too (and probably you'll need a mod to make the head stay in place, i imagine some adjustements have to be made to make a DD head stay in a feeple65 body (i don't have hybrids resin-vynil myself)

Also beware vynil gets stained MUCH more than resin, expecially with dark cap wigs and some sealants used on resin cannot be used on vynil to paint/seal them.

 

I don't have one 03 at home but my boyfriend has one, it's the white aired little girl on MDD body in those pics, the other girls are 06 the brown haired, 07 the redhead and 04 the blonde one little one (07 is the biggest one of the standard heads)

I see nothing wrong with 03 on a DD or DDdy body. Volks themselves put her standard on a DD body. My Ayano is an 03 on a DDdy body, and yes, her head is a little smaller around the crown but not abnormally so. There are plenty of people in real life that have bigger or smaller heads.

 

This picture is of my first four girls, in order an 06, an 01, Akira, and an 03. The only one on a mini body is the 01.

But on another note, there may be more color difference than you think. The SQ Lab Realskin may match Fairyland, but Realskin is an SD color, not DD. Even though both are made by Volks they are not the same color. But a bit of difference may be able to be fixed with blushing, and color matching bothers some more than others.

I have 3 03 girls - a dd L bust, dds M bust and a mdd s bust.

 

They all look great in my opinion. ..

Yeah i totally agree about you about the color match, i think that maybe in person can be more evident than in photos (like is so difficult sometimes to tell the skin colour difference between DD in some photos) , i doubt fairyland resin colour can be so similar to DD ones (and also depends on which DD color) , but i never tried a hybrid like that myself, i've just seen the difference during dollmeets between DD and resin's bjds colors .

 

About 03 i feel it's a bit too small on big bodies, i prefer on MDD, i think it really depends on the perception, but i'm not a big 03 fan either so probably i don't count, only i don't know how 03 could look on a resin feeple65 body which is the one Soalianna wants to put the head on (since she is worried sqlab heads are too small for feeple65 body )

Yes, she's may be, more small than the habits DD proportions, but it's not schoking, it's more than human proportion

 

I will make this hybridation, and you will see fir the match, but I'm not really worried about that ! A friends comme house with is DD these week-end, we will see

"About proportions, the neck of f60 is a bit too thick so it needs some sanding. Also the head may look a little small when the doll is naked, but fully clothed/wigged it looks just fine. "

 

I don't have any Fairyland Bodys (or BJD's in generel ) but I guess 65 means its bigger that the 60? The SQLab Head is tiny on the picture above so I'm not sure if it will work on a bigger Body. Maybe it is wise to choose the DD Head instead.

Yes the Feeple65 body is more tall tan the Feeple60 (more tall than 7.5cm) so I think it's look really to small :/ ( It seam's to be that the DD are more bigger than SQlab ^^)

 

But I could see an hybridation of DDH-head and fairyland body, and it's look pretty :3
