Volks Dollfie dream project: Snow Miku 2015!

Can't help but wonder what the quality of Snow Miku's wig will be like. In some official pictures you can see the wig tracks, but I'm hoping Volks has done some fine tuning on the hair so that it won't be an obvious issue.

The regret for not pre-ordering her is strong. YJA is full of people using the same photos to try to sell her.... and I'm not sure if it's a scam or if they're just trying to sell their own pre-order away.

 

Either way I need her some time and I really hope Volks goes a little crazy with the extra outfits. The fluffy coat set is already perfect.

Hi Guys! I just checked my Volks International page and my pre-order for Miku, done last year, has disappeared off my page. Did Volks cancel my pre-order?? I've not had any emails from them.

Short answer: Nope! Your pre-order should still be going through as normal.

 

Longer answer: Volks has mentioned before that their order system only shows you orders you have made in the last year, so preorders disappear from your page after a year has passed. It's not cancelled, it's just not able to be seen at the moment.

 

If you're really worried, though, you can always email them and ask directly!

I figured it must be something like that, just had to check with you guys so I didn't worry myself to pieces. Thankyou so much for your help! (And your username gave me a chuckle too! XD)

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know when the pre-orders will start shipping? I've not had an email to pay for my girl yet and don't want it to be a nasty surprise!

Thankyou so much! I was beginning to worry I'd missed the payment email from Volks as I've seen a couple of Snow Miku's around already. Good to know I have a little more time to save up for the crazy customs fee!

My understanding is there was a planned early release in Japan for orders place during a certain period of the pre-orders.

Pardon me for asking, but is there a difference between this release of Snow Miku vs. the Snow Miku release by Volks USA?

Apparently the order status links automatically fall off your list after a year--it's just something the system does. Your order is fine.

Does anyone know how well VolksUSA keeps to expected ship dates? I hope they ship SnowMiku at the beginning of September. I've even paid that little bit extra for UPS hoping it will be faster than USPS.

I just ordered Snow Miku (finally) thanks to this new pre order. And since it's not first batch I'll probably get her in like 3 years, but worth it.

Volks has updated their Snow Miku project site to say that the delivery date has been decided; however as of now the date is still listed as "Late June" on the new page. Hopefully they will update that with actual payment and delivery windows.

 

They do say shipment is expected to take up to two weeks for all the dolls.

Unless I missed something the only Miku they had in stock was Hatsune Miku. While I am not sure I fully understand how it all works, there are loads of people on the forum who have been at this longer than me, I believe the Volks USA Snow Miku shipment to VolksUSA will ship when she is released to the Japanese market. I have no idea what all is involved in getting a cargo shipment overseas beyond a massive amount of skilled labor, but it seems to take two months before they are ready to ship the items to customers.

 

Hatsune Miku is awesome by the way. Her face has a ton of personality. Snow Miku should be the same mold with a different face-up.

I'm really excited about SnowM because she'll be my first reserved doll and I love her new look. I wasn't a big fan of the first release because the colors threw me off and the eyes always seemed to look like she had jaundice, but this new color scheme and her adorable accessories sold me.
