Buying my first DD

Hey! I am thinking in buying my first DD in a website call "Dollfie World"

 

And I want to know if is actually a good seller, anyone bough something here? accessories? or even a DD head or body ?

 

I want a DD 07 head in semi white, and in this website is on stock, or I think it is, but not sure If it is actually a good place to get it

The price there is a lot higher than buying from Volks :/ Or secondhand if someone is selling a 07.

Yes, I saw that...and I am considering Volks, I am worried about customs...but I guess that ordering from the fabric would be better.

Have you looked at Mandarake? They often have DDs for sale (often cheaper than retail for the standard models like Mayu & Miko), and I think they might be willing to mark down for customs???

Yeah I look in Mandarake too, but the cheapest one is for 50,000 yen (and not a model I like), and in Volks japan If I pick head and body is 35,000 yen or in Volks USA for a little more than that , of course the problem will be customs but even with that extra money I think would be cheapest...

 

But of course I am new, so If someone know of a website or have a better recomendation for me, please let me know

I bought my second DD from Dollfie World and had no issues with the transaction, wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. As other people have mentioned they do mark the prices up a bit though but sometimes dolls and/or parts can be hard to find and the prices at other aftermarket shops or auction sites aren't necessarily lower.

I got my Sakura Shinguji from Dollfie World and it was lower in price than ebay, and they had her battle suit for a lower price than the going rate on ebay. Some of the dolls are higher price than the ebay rate though.

 

I found their shipment was fast, and the packing was good. They also do layaway if they have the doll you want and need time to pay. I was perfectly happy with their service, and the agent I spoke to spoke English very well.

Could just make a "looking for" thread and hope someone answers it. If you are wiling to be patient (consider it more time to find things you want for her) then you can always resort to the private market. People often have extras, and as you want a basic I'm sure someone out there has what you want.

 

Just go mass spam the photos sections to push up your comment count so you can access the marketplace.

 

As a side note, I've bought multiple times through Dollfieworld and highly recommend them if you are willin' to pay the pretty penny. AND Volks USA only ships within USA/Canada/Mexico, just so you know.

Volks USA also seems to have more limited quantities and doesn't even list some parts that they should reasonably carry. Like I want semi-white hands for my Kos-Mos, and they are only listed on the Volks International Site. They also carry a smaller range of outfits.

 

There also seems to be limits on the types of parts you might want for a doll. Volks doesn't seem to sell the one-piece torso's and bodies, or at least as far as I could see on their website they don't. You only get those with certain LE characters. If you want that sort of thing you'll need to go to after market resources.

Hmmm I see, well Volks japan doesn't have on stock the DD 07 head so...I guess Dollfie World is not such a bad idea after all.

 

I will keep looking after making a final desition, so I still welcome any sugestion or help
