ikumi Posted January 24, 2015 About 20 mins ago I started changing ikumi and I was putting on her leggins and her knee joint came off of its socket, I don't know if it has a socket or it snapped or broke ... Here's two pictures, please help I can't find the socket I'm trying to feel around and it dosent attach
XOHimitsuOX Posted January 24, 2015 Here's a way of reattaching it if it has come out of the socket. If it's still cold where you are and vinyl is stiff, warm up the top of the thigh with a hairdryer. Don't go overboard with the hairdryer, just warm it up enough so you can squeeze the top of the thigh so you can feel the socket and hold it. With the other hand hold the knee and rotate the peg around the socket to get a feel where the hole is, then slot it in the center. Hope this helps
ikumi Posted January 24, 2015 I've been trying to do that and I just can't find the socket, maybe I might have to take off her whole leg from her torso in order to get at ... Maybe by removing the outer thigh vinyl?
ikumi Posted January 24, 2015 I just started to heat up my vinyl and I took the thigh off and I found out it wasn't connected to its screws?! I've never heard of this but I hope it's pretty common, here's a pic: I don't know anything about screws or bolts, so any help with getting my girl back together again would be fantastic
ikumi Posted January 24, 2015 So I think I peiced her skeleton back together but the lower opening of her thigh is way to small to go over her entire left leg skeleton ;-; , the only way I can properly out it on I'll have to undo my repair and put it on and repair it whilst still in her leg if you understand... But it's wayyy too smal for anything to go in there so I physically can't repair it with her thigh on and idk what to do anymore, I've tried evreything I could think of, thank you xohimitsuox for trying to help I appreciate it but anyway here's what I'm stuck with until I think of a better solution:
XOHimitsuOX Posted January 24, 2015 You have to twist the thigh rod off. Then insert it from the bottom of the vinyl thigh piece. You'll need to warm the bottom of the vinyl thigh piece to make it easier to insert. Then reattach it as I have explained in my previous post
BeyondTime Posted January 24, 2015 I have never taken apart the legs of my Dolls, so I can't tell you exactly how to repair her. Perhaps the images in this thread will help you to see how everything connects together. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=44 Also this youtube video may help. It's for a DD2, and I don't know if the leg is the same as the DD3. He disassembles the leg around 2:15. If the leg parts seem the same this video may help you figure out how to put her back together. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to show the reassembly. Here are some links on assembly for DDS and DDDy http://archangeli.net/2012/07/05/assembling-a-dollfie-dream-sister-body/ http://archangeli.net/2012/09/15/assembling-a-dollfie-dream-dynamite-3-dddy3-body-nsfw/ Again the leg may not be the same as DD3. Good luck. As long as none of the plastic is broken I am 100% sure you can put her back together you just need to find the right way to fit all the pieces together. Just be gentle with her and don't force anything if it won't move. Edit: One other note when you reassemble the screw and nut don't over tighten them. You can damage the plastic as well as strip the threads off the screw or the nut. If this part is a joint that moves you will make movement very difficult if it is too tight. If you make it too loose though it will come apart again. Any motion at that point should feel the same as on the other leg. Remember it's easier to add more if you do too little, but if you do too much and something gets damaged you can't take it back. Tighten it lightly and see how it feels and then if it seems too loose gently tighten it a small bit more and check again. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
foo Posted January 24, 2015 You have to twist the thigh rod off. Like Wolf I also don't know what I'm talking about, but I think XOHimitsuOX is saying that you have to separate this,

DivinitaAria Posted February 2, 2015 This exact thing happened to me once, except it was on a DD2 and it was the set of screws on the bottom. I had to take the leg skeleton out of the joint so she only had one whole leg. Not sure if the DD3 thigh-to-pelvic joint comes out, but I had to pull that out and rescrew the leg skeleton back together, reassemble the skeleton, pull the skeleton through the top of the thigh, CAREFULLY (because I accidentally snapped the shin skeleton but epoxied it back together) but the lower vinyl leg piece back on, and then reconnected the leg.
