I guess they don't want to steal too much thunder from Snow Miku ^_^

Some cute outfits/accessories in this release, glad I'm getting another shot at those awesome steampunky leather boots!

Yeah I guess it's probably because of Snow Miku. There also feels to be more of a focus on the SD's.

 

Those Desk sets look very nice indeed! Shall try get one I think

Uzuki looks ok.. but I don't feel like "wow"

i hope there is another DD released to accompany Mio in May.....

the desk is rather interesting. Only thing I am interested in is the archer and wizard costume re-release.

I'm slightly interested in the desk and that's it.

The desk is super cool, but I would want at least three to make a mini classroom diorama!

No stage outfit for Uzuki? That's disappointing.

On a side note, I'm not really compelled by either of the newer Cinderella Girls they have rolled up. Get back to me when they get to Anzu. :> (And if I dare dream Koume....) And I'm still dreadfully on the fence still about Snow Miku, but I did enjoy how they did the similar covers.

Thanks for the link to those nice scans The only thing I'm interested in is getting a desk set~ Will have to get the hubby to click-war for it when the After Event rolls up. Other than that I'm not seeing anything else that I must have

They're re-releasing Lady Archer and Wizard? YUSH. Not sure I can work up the money, but hey, more in the market means it'll be less excruciating to find them when I actually *do*.

 

I'm also liking those black pumps. Volks shoes are expensive, but I keep getting non-Volks black heels and loosing one half the pair because they're too big, so maybe I need to just suck it up on that front.

The desk... I really want the desk. Out of all the things to be hyped about, I'm hyped over a desk. What has my life come to?

 

I really like the cover. Reminds of a old high fashion magazine. With the winter face up, it looks really nice. 10/10 will pre-order Snow Miku

I dunno, I think Uzuki looks a bit generic. Not unpleasant in any way but I feel the cute faint smile face has been done a few too many times now.

 

The boots look nice though!

I was speaking of just Uzuki and Mio. I find them rather generic and maybe with a different face-up could appreciate them more, but I'm honestly gonna happily skip. I actually like Rin, though she's still not a personal favorite for me. My favorite personally from the Idols Volks has made into DD is Ranko~ I love that girly. :>

While some other sculpt may replicate Uzuki and Mio if using the same wigs and eyes, I find Uzuki face shape as my favourite. Since I probably can't have one, it would be very nice if I can even do her faceup for once to see her potential sculpt.

Oh I really want the wizard- outfit.. and the new Miku-Outfit. But since I got Melty it will be hard to fork out the money for this....

I really wish the Miku-Outfit will be a preorder-thing as well.

Actually, this is precisely the issue. >.>; If you keep having the same person sculpt they can only be original for so long.

 

And it is really only Misaki Serika sculpting for the majority of the time. (Has been doin' it longer though too) Amano Hakase, and Kitahara Kousuke are brought in a lot less to sculpt. And considering the amount of new girls they make...that's pretty bad. (disregarding Volks re-release syndrome right now).

I'mma sound like a jerk too, but Amano Hakase kinda naturally makes generic-ish faces. Even though I like MOMO, I definitely don't think she skips the generic box. It is unfortunate, but I think a lot of them can be saved with the right face-ups. Volks, even on their resin, have been known to do some rather bland work. It is almost like they encourage customizing them yourself.

 

On top of that when you are doing a series like iDOLM@STER you are kinda gonna screw yourself over because so many of the girls look similar. And once again, tbf, a lot of them are simply downright bland from a starting point. Once a generic girl, always a generic girl.

 

But to each their own. That's just my personal opinion about them. :P I happily bow out to let others attempt their hands at these girls. :> Plus, I just want Toshizo. Screw the rest of them.

 

Long post is long. >: Also just confirming, based on those scans, Misaki Serika is the sculptor of Uzuki. :P

for me amano hakase tends to make childish mold, serika more teenish mold and kitahara kousuke more "mature" girl (which i like best personally). Sure there are exception, but that the feeling i got overall.

In fews years all new DD will be considered as generic at this rate, but does it matter ?

Except fews hardcore collector, most people limiting to a fews dollfies, which can cover all type of mold.

Anyone have a copy that can read the fine print of the body? I am curious if it is a 1 or 2 piece. Normally I would say 2 since the outfit doesn't show the torso, but they may be planning on an optional stage outfit that might require it.

Volks News doesn't say anything about the 1 piece torso body, and it's always specifically called out when it is one. So that means it's a regular DDS body. It's normal skin for color.

Yay! Got the desk set in the after event! ^__^
