Volks just do a lottery. Seriously, what do you think will happen EVERY time?

I'm not even trying. I just have time before work so I poked the site and no surprise--same issue goin' on. XD

Dear our valued customers,

Currently our web store server has been shut down because it had reached to the limitation of the accesses. We apologize for disappointment and inconvenience this might cause.

We have been upgraded our server / web store system and tried several different methods to release our new items, but unfortunately none of these didn’t resolve this problem.

We decide to conduct the lottery to decide purchasing the items (not gift). The detailed information will be released next week through our Facebook page.

I think I need to get a facebook account just so I can check Volks updates. (I constantly forget about it.)

I spent the last three Saturday afternoons trying to get a few things from the release. I'm not so much frustrated at not being able to get what I want. What I'm frustrated about is not even being able to get to the point where I know I've either succeeded in ordering/acquiring the item or failed. It would be one thing to try and buy the item and be told it's out of stock. It's quite another to just be told to try again week after week.

 

I'm glad they've taken this alternate path. Given the cirbleepstances, I'm fine with dropping my name into a hat and waiting to find out if I'm lucky or not.

^This! As easy going as we are, it's still extremely frustrating when you don't know if you have an item or not. We're hoping this at least alleviates the stress a little.

There appears to have been an announcement on the Volks Japanese site about Snow Miku. From what I can get from Google translate some Snow Miku are available early, but if I am understanding correctly it's an in store Japan only event, and first come first served. Google only translated a small part of the page so I could be way off or very incomplete here.

 

Perhaps someone who can actually read Japanese could provide a better translation.

There appears to have been an announcement on the Volks Japanese site about Snow Miku.

 

The January 30, 2016 batch is the "early pickup/delivery" window for customers who did the "early preorder" of Snow Miku. That is, customers who bought her during the specified week in February 2015, at either the Sapporo physical store (only) or the online store. There were only a limited number available for this early delivery. It was announced in advance that this early delivery would take place, as an incentive to preorder Snow Miku right off the bat even though regular Miku had just come out. So what we see is Volks sticking to their promised early access.

 

The dolls (unlimited quantity) from the regular preorder period will be coming later, as scheduled.
