Delfina Posted February 23, 2015 Hi, can someone tell me what the difference is between MDD and MDDIII? I can't tell just by looking at nude pictures at any changes in the body. I got a second hand one the other day and don't know which one it is. Also, can a body be assembled by just buying all the parts separately? They all say "internal skeleton included" so..... waha Posted February 23, 2015 The best way to tell if it's a MDD3 is to look at the neck joint, the MDD3 uses the slightly bent style that both the DDS and DD3 bodies use, whereas the original MDD body has a straight peg. Besides that, you have to start looking at the joints and such and it can be a bit harder to spot. A MDD3 body can be assembled by buying the parts as all the skeleton pieces are included, it just requires some patience as the thighs are a bit tricky to align properly when putting them together. mitsuki Posted February 23, 2015 I agree with waha. The neck joint is easiest. The joints are a little harder to distinguish. The backs of the knees are easier than the arm joints to distinguish.
Jezrah Posted February 23, 2015 For any II vs III body I usually look at the shoulders, the II has ball joint looking parts and the III is smooth. Also, generally an original MDD will be a bit floppier, like being prone to collapsing at the knees once a head is on.
Janeway Posted March 10, 2015 what do people think of the MDD3 body's are the better now? can they stand on there own etc.
waha Posted March 10, 2015 what do people think of the MDD3 body's are the better now? can they stand on there own etc. The difference is like night and day. Sure, there is the occasional original MDD body that actually is somewhat decent, but on the whole I'd say the original MDD is worse than DD2, and the MDD3 is equal to DD3/DDS. As with all bodies from Volks you can sometime get slightly stiffer MDD3s and slightly looser.
