Chances of a Rise re-release?

So with the release of persona 4: dancing all night, I was wondering what the chances of getting a new DD Rise in her dancing all night gear were? I mean if miku can get a brand new release for her snow version its not unthinkable. I know realistically all we'll get is a new outfit set if we're lucky, but one can dream

Last year, there was a best selection poll to celebrate Volks' 15th anniversary where everyone could vote for which dolls and clothes they want a re-release of. Melty (DDS) and Sasara (DDdy) were both re-released as a result of that, so for DD, there's a chance that Rise could be the one that gets re-released.

I hope so! I've heard she wasn't very popular upon release though due to her non anime style, which I think would have turned off most fans of persona who liked her from the game. So whether she managed to join the ranks of the other super popular and sought after sculpts is a mystery for now.

It's pretty possible. I've seen her to be sort of sought after actually. Although as I see it I feel like the most we'd be getting is an alternate outfit ahaha

It seems to me shes sought after only by a niche group of collectors within the DD community, which of course serves to drive her price up Well even an alternate outfit would be nice at this point. I feel you, if shes put up for wide release again I'm getting myself 2, one to customize and one to keep as default.

I thought Sasara won the DD+DDdy poll and Melty won the DDS+MDD poll. I expect the next re-releases to be the Volks character models :/

In the case of Snow Miku, I think they were able to just reuse the production lines from Miku. It seems her outfit uses the same cut patterns as the original, just with different materials. As for the chances of Rise getting a re-release…

 

I have no idea. Re-releases just… happen sometimes, I guess if the licensor wants to do it.

Tamaki could be a serious competitor to Sasara. Maybe White Album girls, or Rin, or maybe Kanu...

Or when there is a really big demand. Or when Volks feel like it.

3 years ago I wrote "it's rather unlikely for the #5 (Sirius/Yumi/Kyoko) to be released now as an option head."

but later it happened. 3 years ago DD re-releases were almost unthinkable, but now they happen.

Rise might have a chance when there will be a new game related to her released in Japan.

Volks does have the sculpt and part of the rights already.

Oh. :c I thought that they (DD+DDdy, etc.) had just been sharing a page together during the polls and that each line would get a re-release. That's disappointing to know. ;__; I was waiting to see which MDD might get re-released.

There was a doll event in December where Rise was up for grabs, so I definitely think it is possible. I am hoping as well since I was very bitter that I lost out on the lottery and had to get mine secondhand and I wouldn't mind entering again for Rise since I love her.

I suspect the latter.

This is what I thought that was as well. Just Volks clearing out inventory. They've done it numerous times before with the SD line as well.

So wait, the dolls from that event were left overs from previous releases? Why would they want to hold onto to old stock?

Dunno. I've seen Volks randomly have dolls pop up that were years old. I remember when Volks USA used to randomly get pretty damn old LE releases out of nowhere! Was like someone did their inventory and realized "oh hey we still have some of these."

Some of them might be from the users, who won the lottery but couldn't pay and cancelled the order.

Or just didn't pay, or won three DDs and finally ordered only one.

Maybe Volks holds some DDs in storage for warranty replacements or smth.

Or they just have forgotten some boxes on the back shelf
