Default days: Beatrice

Again I am skipping my usual randomatic approach of letting ladies cool off a bit before their next outing, one photo set which I had been wanting to redo, which of course the golden witch herself, Beatrice.

 

Actually my original photos for Beats introduction were'nt that bad all things considered, but still I was feeling the limitations of my point and shooter..

 

So this time, new challenges.. dialing in the camera Im not 100% happy having to use the colorful image setting, but due to my new lights being so intense, that was the best compromise.

 

Beats default wig also has seen better day's, but it did have some big issues when I got it in the first place, but have to make do with what I had...

since I wanted to keep beat in her actual default, I started with the optional default school uniform.. sans tattoo..

I loved Beato as a character and it always makes me happy to see her as doll on her default state.

She looks so cool on these pictures and her wig doesn't look bad at all!

Stunning! I've never seen the anime/manga/game she's from, but I fell in love with her sculpt as soon as I saw her when I was originally looking through all of the past limiteds. I'm more than a bit jealous XD

I recently watched the Umineko no naku koro ni anime and I really like Beatrice!

Her character design is just so amazing and the DD in its default state looks fabulous. Your photos of her are awesome and the divan suits her just fine! Such a graceful beatuy!

 

...I'm just a little sad that without the VNs I didn't quite grasp the whole story and got a better understanding of Beato. I'm not sure if the VNs are available in English at all since my Japanese skills are pretty non-existent.

mm, when I got beat she stayed in her default ball gown for quite some time before I took her out of it.

Beat is indeed quite a splendid set, nearly starded to make my own custom when Volks finally decided to release her officially.

 

The wig doesent look too bad in these pictures since I avoided the rough angles a bit intentionally, the bun especially was quite exploded even as new, and the hair accessory especially is a bit problematic since it likes to pull hairs from underneath the sides.

If im not totally mistaken, there was some semi official translation effort around for the visual novels, which is something I've been considering looking into also, since the anime didnt end too well, except land that "Who am I?" question.. heh.

Well.. Beat's origins can be a bit of a mixed bag of opinions, but even on her own Beat is quite impressive, just because of the huge ball gown, with all the detail work.

"Optional default" not double default. Still had to buy the school outfit separate, off yja if I recall correct, despite winning Beat herself in the lotto.

 

Its a bit like Illya's winter coat. since I consider both Illya and the optional coat her full default, since you saw her more in the coat that without it in the anime... same with Beat, since the school uniform is one of the key visuals for Umineko.

Whoa! Well, thank you for the correction. Lily is something of a "double default," so I just "assumed" that Beat was the same. Seems like Volks has a good thing going by selling the second outfit separately.

 

I think you are very lucky to have both. Beat is beautiful. I considered getting her instead of Lily; and, perhaps the day may come when I have both. We'll see. "I ain't rich."

the lighting was a 120cm wide reflective umbrella on from the left, and a 60x60cm softbox on the right, both with four 40w florescent bulbs. The the light is a perhaps a bit too intense, and sky blue in color, so the photos were taken with the camera set to Colorful mode, hence the slightly strong contrast.
