Wondering...

Hey guys! Well...I've come across something... I'll get to that in a moment, but I was wondering about something... I know that the DDs and MDDs all have different option busts. Granted so does that DDdy even though the other one just shows off more cleavage and I guess even the DDS even has one as well. Out of curiosity I just wanted to see what everyone's own preferences were. Do you like Volks' default medium size? Do you like to kick it up a notch with the large? Or maybe you enjoy the small option? Which do you personally like when it comes to the Dollfie Dreams or the Mini Dollfie Dreams? Do you think its wrong for a MDD to have the large option? And also, is there such as thing as too much? I know Japan some so of those special replacement parts that are XL or more... What are your feelings about those? Granted I know some people if their recreating a certain character might want a larger or smaller bust size for their girls...

 

Alright now that's out of the way here's my little bit of interesting news. Just today I received a late birthday gift from a friend who moved to Japan a while ago. Seems from checking my Facebook page they learned that I've gained interest in Dollfies. So, they came across one of those special replacement busts... Which means now I'm currently in possession of a soft, silicone XXL sized bust... Umm...I don't think I'd use it since I like all my girls as they are... But, I'd hate to try and ship it back to them...

This is an reply to my own questions... Personally I don't really know. Ash is a large bust, Rain is a medium and Anesska is the small. Rain and Anesska were planed out, heck if Volks hadn't released the small option bust I really don't think I'd have her living with me. Kyrene...well she's the MDD's large option... I have no idea what possessed me to give them too her, but...well...you try saying no to that face! Heh... As for larger... I've seen some pretty scary stuff on some online sites involving Dollfies...and that XXL bust that I now have...kinda unnerves me...

Well, I like a wide range of sizes for my girls. I currently have:

 

1 DDS default ( no clue what size she is tho, she's smaller than the regular DDII M-bust )

2 DDII M-busts

3 DDII L-Busts

4 DDdy girls, 1 Yoko, 1 Shapely and 2 regular

 

Of all the shapes and sizes, I like the looks of the L-bust best. It has a more natural shape and is still nice looking with or without clothing.

 

I *love* the DDdy girls tho. I like my anime characters to be curvy and the DDdy girls fit the bill. But their breasts don't look as natural or nice without clothing on them. Even in bikinis, they sometimes look super round. I wish they had a more natural looking version like the L bust in a DDdy size. THAT would be cool! But I tend to like my DDdy girls the best due to how nice they look in clothing. All that cleavadge is just too nice to ignore.

 

As for the MDD, I have only seen one in person and I think it was the default size which is S. I can easily see having the M-bust on one but *to me* the L-bust is a bit much. But that's just my opinion. For certain characters I can see it working tho. But I really haven't seen many of them in pics so I can't really tell how large they are compared to the M bust MDD.

 

I would love to have at least one Peach Pai tho. For my Manami. She's my ecchi girl and she would love to have some nice squishy boobs to mess with. I can see her running around now, pushing them onto her sisters....

 

Those super large versions I've seen on YJA, those are a bit much. I mean that last one shown here on a Sasara was just comical due to the immense size. I felt bad for that poor girl. Now there *is* one girl I've seen on FFM who has a really large chest but it's always done well in nice clothing. I don't know her name or who owns her but she is usually dressed in maid attire and has purple hair and purple eyes. She's really pretty in my opinion even with that enormous rack.

 

So theres my take on DD chests. Never thought I'd go into that much detail on this subject!

WOW! Well thanks for all of that... Well from what I learned about the DDS is that their default is a small, but you can find a medium option on ebay. I do think your right about the DDII's large bust looking more natural. When I finally get my Neris home I plan on upgrading her to a large. I've seen a few MDDs with all three different sizes...like I said Kyrene is the large option and I think she looks decent, but then again that's her character I guess...

Well to start, Billy you know you like to talk about the boobies. Anyway I have all three sizes for the MDD. I have tryed the large bust. It will work if you have the char set that way. To me the large MDD bust looks more like the shaply bust. My two Little girls are in their preteens so I like the M bust on them. As for my DD's. I am the opposite of Billy. I think the M bust looks more naturaly shaped. The L bust has the nip a little to high for my likeing. But to each there own. For me it comes down to the char of your DD, MDD, DDy and so on.

And...if your wondering that XXL is very squishy. Currently I'm debating selling it on ebay to raise funds to place another payment on Neris...

No, these are fine, I have a good idea of how big they are now. They look about the same size around as the normal DDdy bust but are definitely "longer", meaning they stick out way further from the torso area than the DDdy ones do.

 

What's up with the yellow nips on the L-bust? Odd coloration...

 

And what are you planning on selling those XXL ones for? I may be interested. You can PM me on that so as not break any sales rules.

I don't currently own any DD bodies (have in the past though, briefly), though one of the things I love most about them is the variety! I think the M-bust is the most versatile, it is big enough to be a little sexy but still modest in size. I do love the L-bust though, it is very sexy but not outrageously sexy like the DDDy. The S-bust is nice, but I would only use it if a specific character called for it.

 

As for MDD's, I see no problem with an L-bust MDD. DD's are anime style, and it isn't uncommon in anime for there to be a very short and otherwise young looking girl with a fairly ample chest (off the top of my head, I can think of Lirin from Saiyuki and Amelia from Slayers).

 

And I must say, WOW that is a big set of bewbs there! They look really big, but IMHO they aren't quite big enough to be in the insanely ridiculous category. Would certainly be a pain to dress though!

Yellow? that's from the lighting... Their supposed to be pink... Since I don't have any spray I followed one of DannyCoo's tips and used a pink highlighter to color them...

Yea they do look a bit yellowish in the pictures... The lighting is so off in my place I can only take pictures of my girls in certain places...and then there's the kitties so I have to worry about their clothing getting all furry..

I'm very similar in tastes to Billy, I love the shape of the L Bust and wish there was a DDdy version of the L bust, similar shape as well. I like the voluptuous figure of the DDdy but her breasts do defy gravity a bit too much at times.

 

The other day Billy linked me to a figure review on Danny Choo's site for "Captain Liliana" and we both agreed that we wished there was a DDdy bust similar to hers:

 

 

 

I see her as having the L bust shape but in the DDdy size category.

 

For my DDII girls I've only upgraded my Lily to an L bust for now. I have Neris, Airy, Mio, and Yukino who I may wish to upgrade as well but I may wait till the shapely L bust is available.

I think I may keep my Mio as an M bust, I love her innocent little girl vibe and I'm worried giving her a big set of knockers may spoil that.

 

At this time I don't have any interest in an S bust, unless they finally upgrade the MDD body. Then I may want to bring a cute loli home with me. (The DD kind of Loli only!!!)

Oh James, you make me so happy! Seeing the Captain so early this morning makes me smile.

 

She has quite the perfect body in my opinion and she would be an excellent DDdy mold to have appear. Come on Volks, do something like THAT!

 

And I agree with you on Mio James. I think she needs to stay an M-bust to maintain her more sweet and innocent charm. It's the same with my Mikuru and Mamimi. Both of them will stay with the smaller busts due to that same line of thought.

I prefer the DDdy specifically because they have a larger bust. I like my girls with assets and the character I want to create will have them lol I'm saving up because I'm going to be staying with my aunt in San Diego, CA for the summer and get a summer job. I need to get away from Texas so I'll be saving money from now to the summer for Comic Con and a new DDdy! ^^ YAY I'm so excited....and I just can't hide it! <----What song was this line in again I forgot? XDD

I have a medium bust girl and a DDdy. Personally, I love the DDdy. I think that the curves are just right. I love how she has a bit chunkier hips, thighs, and butt. I think that makes her more unique...and healthy looking. Then again, all Dollfie Dreams look fairly healthy to me. I really like the design of them in comparison to some BJDs. Some BJDs are just too skinny.

Personally, I think it depends on the character. Agatha pretty much had to be DDDy, not just because that's how she's drawn in the comic Girl Genius, but also because the idea of a busty, almost sex-icon bodied girl with Victorian era sense of fashion propriety is too ironic and funny to resist. (I dread the day she asks me if her butt looks big in something. With DDDy's the obvious answer is "yes", even though all us "parents" know it's actually good thing. XD)

 

On the other hand, I can totally imagine having S and M bust DDIIs in the future. For instance, if I do a Miku custom, she'd pretty much have to be S. Again, not just because of staying accurate to the art, but in my mind she has a rather playful demeanor that just goes well with the more childlike S bust. I also have this idea lingering in the back of my mind of a girl so comfortable with herself and her sexuality that she walks around naked sometimes purely because "it's naked time", but in fact has a more modest M bust figure. ("But I know how how to work it" would likely be the answer to anyone who would point that out.)

 

And if we're ever graced with a Homura DDS (or a good custom candidate), then we'd have a girl not only flatter than any of the rest but shorter, and who, despite that, could kick everyone's ass with her eyes closed. The appeal with that match there is that the general first reaction would be to underestimate her, and then BAM.

 

. . . I'm noticing a pattern actually. I like busts that contrast the personality in most cases, with the exception of Miku. We'll see if ANY of this comes to fruition in the future, but those are possibilities I can currently envision.

I like natural bust on DD. So M-bust is the winner for me At least for DD2 body. I do have L-bust girl, but the nipples annoy me. Those are unnaturally high :/ Every time I see Saber Extra in her red outfit I feel nipple slip is just moments away.

 

I have three DDdy girls and they all have different busts. Yoko has her original natural DDdy bust which I like. DDdy bust that Volks offers otherwise are way too unnatural for me. So Lilia has Peach Pai bust which is bit big but great for outfits. It can be natural or push-up style. Alna has modded DD2 L-bust. DDdy just calls for a bigger bust than DD2 to look balanced.

Like many others here, I like a little variety, as seen with a lot of anime/manga characters. When designing my girls beforehand I wanted one bigger than the other. So for my first two DDII girls I went with an S bust and an L bust. I think the difference really helps to define them more. Though, if I was to be picky, I do wish my S-bust girl was slightly shorter then the L bust one. I guess it's just a stereotype way of thinking, but, other than that small detail, I do like the S bust.

 

I was worried that the difference would be too extreme, and out of the box the L bust does seem rather large. But when it's all said and done, I think it works out rather nicely. I guess it depends on your limits.

 

I'd love to get a DDdy someday, but I am slightly put off by the bust size. I'd much rather have something like the L bust on a DDdy, like others have said here. Though, like my slight worry with the L bust, maybe in person it's not so bad.

You can mod an L-bust to put on a DDdy. Averis needs a DDdy for more variety.
