Chihaya Posted March 31, 2015 I assume im just being paranoid but googling gave me nothing. I would imagine most people dont even think about it but I have a candle burning almost 24/7 in the same room as my dolls. Anyone know if anything released into the air would be bad for them? I already stay away from room sprays and stuff do to not knowing the full effect of what they may do to the vinyl. Anyone have a list of do's and donts? Poofiemus Posted March 31, 2015 I burn a candle or two in my 624 sqft apartment 2-5 times a week, though usually only for an hour or so at a time. I haven't seen any ill effects on the girls. Granted, that's not particularly close to them; I'd be super paranoid about them being close enough for the heat to be an issue. (I once singed a head putting it too close to a lamp for stain treatment, so yes, vinyl can burn/discolor from heat. Just a reminder to watch out for that!) But if they're not getting warm from it, I'd say the only thing you'd have to worry about is a bit of soot, and that should probably come off with a damp magic eraser. . . .which reminds me that my girls are overdue for their twice-yearly magic eraser sponge bath, lol. It's a good time to get them clean and do any stain treatments. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

Do you do anything to the faces, and can you use magic eraser on white skin?

Do you do anything to the faces, and can you use magic eraser on white skin? I do go over their faces, though more gently than the rest of them--doubly so for Agatha, since her faceup is custom rather than factory, and is thus more fragile. I don't have any WS girls unfortunately (Miku being SWS, and she's new enough I haven't "bathed" her yet), so I can't confirm for sure; I doubt it'd be an issue though. (I only got Agatha's bath done today, but it reminded me: there must be something in how I handle my girls, because their legs are the hands-down grimiest part of them, every time. Yuck.)
