Attaching a DD head to obitsu body without neck joint?

I recently got an obitsu from DoA, but in my own error I didn't notice that It lacked the neck joint with the spring... Has anyone attached a head without it? Seems it could be something replicatable, but I'm blanking on what to do... I could try some elastic and a s hook, but not sure how that would work for posing.

You can definitely make the stock Obitsu neck joint work on a DD head, my GF's 04 girl is on an older Obitsu body and it works out pretty well. You will have to take the screw out of the bottom of the neck piece, take the whole thing apart, and then put it back together again but it's not as bad as it sounds. You just have to put the top plastic part and the spring underneath that inside the head and then slide the other part into that from outside the head. Then put the screw back in and you're done. Now getting that screw back in can be a real chore so try to use a screwdriver that's magnetic to help you more.

Personally I'd get a new part, they're cheap and you know it'll work.

You really need a neck piece on the Obitsu body. Almost any head attachment method will put enough pressure on the neck vinyl to cause it to deform and collapse. As mentioned neck pieces are relatively inexpensive. Just make sure you get the right size. There are two lengths, the longer one being for the 55/60cm bodies and the shorter one is for the 40cm through 50cm bodies.
