Visible Wig Base ?

I have Alna & Rina Ogata & for both their wigs viewing close from the front or side you can see part of the base that the hair is attached to. Is this common for DD wigs?

Yes, it's common.

Unless the wig is very thick, or You style the hair in a right way, the base in most cases is visible.

Well, it's a doll wig, after all, the hair don't grow on them

Here's what I see on mine. I think it detracts from their looks & could've been hidden better if Volks would've wrapped hair all around those edges. It's already done somewhat but not all the way on the side for Rina. Better yet maybe they should do some R&D into attaching the hair to a silicone cap instead of the cloth one so it can be thinner & better blended in color to the head.

I like the idea of a different wig base...but I have a feeling it would only make things a bit more pricey. Maybe you could try the pre-rooted dollfie heads.

Thin wigs are common for *Volks* wigs. It's not for a lot of other wigs you can buy from stores for BJDs. I've probably bought 4-5 Volks wigs and they all use less hairs per weft/less wefts than even wigs I've bought on ebay for half the price. If you want to buy thick wigs, I recommend Crobidoll. They are probably twice as thick as Volks wigs and they cost less.

As for that picture of the SQ Lab, Kumi, the wig cap is showing because it's too large for the head, not because it's thin.
