Hi everyone! My name is Laura!~

I have been in the BJD hobby for about 4 years now and am just starting to venture into the land of Dollfie Dreams! I am planning on getting a DDH-03 head and body from Volks sometime in the very near future! I have always loved the way DD's looked but never really dug myself in and explored. I am happy to meet you all and I cant wait to make some friends here!

Hi Laura, I've been collecting vinyl a little longer than you've been collecting resin. I'm a fellow Michigander and find the long winters great for working on my various hobbies including making stuff for dolls. Still working on full winter gear before I take them out for a cold weather photo shoot. I can sew but sewing at third scale is a little different and definitely takes some fitting and hand sewing techniques for some of the harder to work with fabrics.

You ever order from Mint on Card in Traverse City? I just got some wigs and glass eyes that came super quick.

Hi there Chang Kou-lao!

How exciting to find another Michigander on the forums here! ;D I admit I have a very hard time sewing for my current BJD family even... I feel your pain! Haha! But how many vinyl babies do you currently have? I'd love to see pictures of them!

Also, I am a big big fan of MOC! If you have a facebook account, I follow a MI BJD group and we're actually going to MOC next weekend for a yearly meetup! It's a lot of fun and we have a pretty good turn out!

The group specializes in BJD's but DD's and other dollies are just fine to post and talk about! ^_^

I'll send you pm with the links so you can check us out!

Sorry for double posting, but looks like I am still too new to send you a pm with the info! >o<"

Or put it in the comments section here!

Do you have a flickr or DoA we could chat over? Since I can't here yet!

I'm still trying to get enough post to message and post pictures here myself. That meet-up sounds like fun. I was wondering about the local doll community. Vynel is certainly more niche but I've found some really great accessories for my girls looking to resin figure companies. I've got some swords on pre-order from Mint-on-Card that look awesome. My Dolls tend to be the most heavily armed girls you'll meet, only not packin' heat if they prefer weilding swords. 'Kinda big GI-Joes to me. I'm not sure if I can make this next meet-up but I'll see what I can do and will make sure to plan for the next one if I can't make it.

I've got one Dollfie Dream Dynamite, five Yamato VMF 50's, three Angel Philia dolls and one headless body I'm planing to make a custom girl out of. I really haven't posted 'em up any where on the interweb but plan to post more in the future but still need to sew more outfits. I can justify buying the dolls but some of the expensive tiny outfits unless they're just what I want I can't justify buying when I can sew, even if it's a lot of work. It's time consuming but rewarding and relaxing. And this is not my only hobby but is my only outlet for fashion design.
