ladyshi Posted April 19, 2015 I'm going to be heading to Tokyo in just a few short weeks, along with dropping in at Osaka and Kobe, and I was hoping for some advice when it comes to Dollfie Dream Dynamite accessories and dolls. I managed to get Miko from Osaka on my last day last year, as well as a Coordinate model (Volks but not Dollfie Dream) from Harajuku, but I had real trouble finding accessories and Dollfie Dream in general. I'm determined to be more prepared this time, but I was hoping for some tips and advice. I will be going to dollpa 33, but as I'm going it alone I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get my hands on either of the limited girls I have my eyes on (at least, that's what I've been advised by a couple of people who have been before ^_^; ). Has anyone been to Dollpa before? Do you have any advice? Are the only dolls available the limited ones, or do dealers have dolls as well as accessories? I also wanted to know if there are any particular stores people recommend above others in Tokyo. I couldn't really find anything I loved and could afford on Mandarake in Akihabara and Nakano, but that could be as I was searching for my first doll at that time rather than outfits. Is it worth bringing along details of my dolls dimensions with me, or her model, as I can't speak Japanese well? In Osaka I was lucky - I was trying to buy Miko and accessories from the same store, so the lovely sales assistant could point out what would fit her for sure (though I'm still disappointed I couldn't get a carry case for her, or a chair). I'm a long-time appreciator and have only just started collecting and looking more deeply into specific models, so any advice is greatly appreciated Thank you! Edit: More of a side question for owners. Do you find it easier to get outfits for regular models over Dream Dynamite? Is it worth looking at collecting bother, rather than just one (for a wider variety of outfits and looks)?
SakuraSylph Posted April 21, 2015 The only dolls for sale at Dolls Party are the new ones that Volks advertises. You might be able to buy them, but it is completely up to luck of what number you pull out of the box on the morning-of. This means you need to be at Big Sight around 7:45am in order to pull a number. If your number is 600 or higher, don't even bother waiting for DDs, and go to a different line instead. DD Dynamite is hard to shop for because of their large proportions, I'm sorry to say. Less clothes are made for them than for regular DD bust sizes. You will have to ask the dealers at Dolpa what fits; there are plenty of clothes there. SakuraSylph
