Is this fixable? See photo in post...

Hello, I am interested in buying a DDdy type 3 body and head but its used and has a broken wrist part and some staining...I mainly want to know if the wrist can be fixed? Or do I have to buy new arms/hands?

I wish there were more photos of the damage but this is all they had posted...image is not mine, just shows the damage to the doll for sale.

Any advice or help is appreciated! I'd love to give this girl a new home but I want to fix her too!

I've tried to repair those wrist parts before using a variety of materials and fixes and NONE of them have held together due to the small parts in the wrist and the mobility the wrist needs. Save yourself the headache and buy the new arm set from Volks that includes two of those parts. I know they aren't cheap but it's WAY easier to get the arms and have new wrist parts than to try and repair the broken one shown in the pics. I've repaired all sorts of DD parts before and had lots of success.... but the wrists and the ankles are THE WORST pieces to try and repair for sure.

The staining isn't an issue if you have time and some Oxy10 or Remove-zit.

I hope this helps you out!

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

I think you can buy the Hatsune Miku hands and they come with a wrist bone. That might be cheaper than an arm, and you get hands along with it; albeit hands with green nail polish. Miku's parts would be for DIII/DDS, and I've never tried those in my DII bodies which do have different wrist bones, and I don't have a DDDy so no idea if they are the same.

I don't know if there is a good reason not to do it this way.

I have bought stained Dolls before, and like Billy I personally like the idea of rescue dolls. If you have the patience fixing up a doll and giving it a good home is kind of a reward in and of itself.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

No, just no. Miku is SWS.

Ah that is true, and the ball at the wrist would be SWS.
