Volks USA at Anime Expo 2015

They said there will be more LE dolls besides that. Miku is also the only one I have, well, sort of. I'm still waiting for her to be shipped to me since the proxy company I went through screwed it all up.

 

Anyways, Candy and Mirai are cute and all, but they don't appeal to me. However if they have any of the ones I do really want I'll be all over that. Here's hoping!

I know what you mean, Miku is my first too (assuming she doesn't get lost in the mail forever...) but if I got just snow Miku I'd try to get normal Miku's outfit and hair and stuff since I prefer original Miku in design, and then it would probably bother me that the colors on the faceup wouldn't match.

 

Also snow Miku has a softer, more gentle look to her face so I kinda see them as being different despite that not really being the case so I could see myself getting a Snow Miku since this is a nice opportunity and I really do like her, but then again, I really love Miku in general so much so that I even cosplay her so I might be a bit of a fangirl.

I feel you. If they have nothing else I want then I definitely will, but if they have other dolls I really want it might be a harder choice.

Definitely wasn't surprised by them announcing Candy & Mirai, but I do think it's a nice touch that they are bringing the Memorial Editions. Those who are new and end up purchasing them will have a fully dressed doll instead of just getting the slip & panties. This was definitely a good decision on their part.

 

Snow Miku I guess I'm both not surprised and surprised at the same time Not surprised because it's another version of Miku for them to try and sell to the masses. But at the same time I don't see those who are new to Volks plopping down money for a pre-order doll that they won't get for a year or more. This is I think more appealing to those already in the hobby who missed their chance to pre-order her.

 

Still hoping they announce some DDs and items that will surprise me! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be attending Anime Expo this year. I have been doing At-Con Registration since the line for Pre-Registration has gotten ridiculously long and it's hard to stand out in the hot summer weather for hours on end with no access to a restroom during the wait. Last year a 4-Day Pass At-Con was $75 and now it's $115 I'm on the fence still since I could still get a pass online for less, but then there is that huge line to wait in... I guess a head's up for anyone thinking of doing At-Con Registration! Also a 1-Day Pass At-Con is $75

The Snow Miku thing is great for me since I first discovered this hobby pretty much right after that ship sailed and I really do love miku.

 

As for the AX thing, I'm going super early in my miku cosplay that has actual boots with a heel in them. They're not too comfy at the moment and I'm not sure how how much I can change that. My mom always buys our passes online since it's cheaper so this ought to be fun. Maybe I'll bring a change of shoes or a folding chair with an umbrella. Hopefully I'll have miku to bring with me. Lucky thing, she doesn't have to walk everywhere. Lol

i live close by so i don't have any problem im almost always in the first line for pick up my badge but this year they will have more staff on the badge pick up and they will also have a second location to pick up your badge and i will most likely be taking pictures of the people that go in there cosplay on day 0

It's great that they're expanding that stuff. It looks like they might finally start accommodating their large attendance better.

I heard that they will open pre-reg for 36 hours this year so people can pick up their badge in the middle of the night if they want! So this should lessen the crowd by a bit.

The distance shouldn't matter--it's reception in the convention center that's likely to be the confounding issue. ^^; Least the LA Convention Center's exhibition hall is above ground, unlike the one in the Phoenix Convention Center. >.>

Yeah. I want to pick up a few issues of a Manga I like and get a gift for my boyfriend and another friend of ours. Our friend adores saber and we joked about getting him a saber dollfie. It's probably higher maintenance than he'd be up for though. I might pick him up a saber nendroid.
