Lidia - Chapter IV

 

 

Lidia: Hurray! Somonul, it's cloudy outside! Get up and get ready to go out today! You have it off, right?

 

*Lidia flings Somonul's blanket off.*

 

Somonul: Ugh, *yawn* that’s right Lidia.

 

*Somonul looks out the window.*

 

Somonul: Couldn't have come on a better day, let's go!

 

*Lidia starts to pack a few essential things.*

 

Hrist: *Yawn* what’s all the commotion going on here..?

Lidia: Nothing much Hrist, just getting ready to head out.

 

*The loud commotion of packing of equipment wakes up Hrist. Hrist looks over at the clock, only to find to her dismay that it is barely 7am.*

 

 

Hrist: Its, 7am... *yawn* It's not even 10am yet...nor an infernal dollmeet, I'm out. Have fun. *yawn*

 

 

*Hrist plops back down in her bed*

 

Lidia: Once I get out of this city, I sure will!

Somonul: Yeah! Wow. Hrist is already out cold again.

Lidia: Hah.

 

Heading outside Somonul begins a quick inspection of Rose, and begins to load up the camera and hiking gear.

Somonul: Where to Lidia?

Lidia: Surprise me!

Somonul: Saguaro Lake again?

Lidia: Sure!

 

The two ride off, destination Saguaro Lake. Upon reaching the cross-roads...

Lidia: Somonul, pull over!

Somonul: Sure thing. What is it, Lidia?

Lidia: Look at that! To the north; what a menacing storm brewing.

Somonul: Sure looks...

Lidia: Exciting?

Somonul pauses and smiles.

Somonul: Took the word out of my mouth!

Lidia: Follow that storm!

 

The two change their plans and begin to head north. Roaring down the highway Rose puts down a good 50 miles between their last stop.

 

Lidia motions to pull over.

 

 

Lidia: Hold on Somonul, look. *Lidia points off toward the northern horizon.

Somonul strains his eyes off in the direction Lidia was pointing at.

Somonul: Is... That flashes of lightning?

Lidia: Not a natural display of lightning...

Somonul: ...

Lidia: Right, and it's not your doing.

Somonul: ... that looked like a column of fire too!

Lidia: ..........

 

 

Lidia begins to look lost in thought.

 

Somonul: Lidia, let's go. Now.

Lidia: Yeah... lets.

 

Traveling further north...

 

Lidia: It's starting to rain pretty heavy.

Somonul: Yeah.

 

After another hour of riding through the rain swept mountains and hillsides. Lidia and Somonul finally reach Rim Country. The rain eventually begins to let up.

 

 

Lidia: Look how nice and green it is up here!

Somonul: Real nice, minus that smoke that's rising east from here...

Lidia: Yeah, a battle definitely happened here, and very recent. Let's venture toward that smoke.

Somonul: Are you sure it was a battle, Lidia?

Lidia: An elk leg randomly on a tree? Always a sure sign, Somonul.

 

 

Somonul: Ah, good point.

 

Lidia and Somonul begin to trek through the woods.

 

Lidia: This tree was ripped right in half.

Somonul: A monster?

Lidia: Unlikely.

Somonul: Unlikely? You don't mean...?

Lidia: Let's keep going.

 

Lidia and Somonul arrive at the foothold of the mountain.

 

Lidia: We're getting closer to the smoke.

 

Making their way up the mountain, it begins to rain again.

 

 

Lidia: Look Somonul! Humanoid tracks.

Somonul: They appear to be headed in the direction that smoke is coming from.

Lidia: About a mile or two from here, I'd say.

 

 

Lidia: It's getting rather rocky.

Somonul: Uphill all the way.

Lidia: We're getting closer.

 

The light rain begins to finally let up. Lidia spots a rather tall tree.

 

Lidia: Wait here, Somonul. I'm going to climb up and scout out the terrain.

 

Lidia begins to climb up a solid looking juniper.

 

 

Somonul: See anything up there?!

Lidia: What an amazing view! We're definitely close, there appears to be a small ravine cleaving this portion of the mountain!

Somonul: Won't be long now.

 

 

Lidia: The smoke's clearing.

Somonul: We better continue on then.

 

Lidia jumps down from the tall tree.

 

Somonul: These sure are great trees.

Lidia: Yeah, nice change from Cactusville down south.

*Somonul looks amazed at the giant scaly juniper.

Somonul: Hello, you big beautiful tree! What stories you must hold.

Lidia: Not now Somonul! We've got to press on!

Somonul: Right.

 

The two begin their descent down into the ravine.

 

 

Lidia: Hmm, looks like a dried-up riverbed.

Somonul: Seems like it's been dried up for a while.

Lidia: Yeah, minus the rain that's made things slippery. Watch your step.

Somonul: Speaking of rain, it looks like another wave of clouds is on the way.

 

 

Lidia: Almost there! Up this hill should do it!

Somonul: Yeah.

 

Light rain begins to fall.

Thanks for pointing that out. For some reason they loaded fine on my computers, but when I asked Animeruko to test out the link, he found several dead images, all of which 'should' be corrected now Thanks again!
