Specks bedroom

Well for this weekend it was rather easy for choice of setting.

 

Speck had been such a nice sport with testing the bed, so the two continued here.

Nice setup! And the movie posters are a great touch--although it's sparked some debate amongst my own girls. Homura agrees with Speck that the RDJ version of Sherlock rocks (think she likes all the action scenes), but Agatha is vehemently in support of the BBC/Benedict bleepberbatch interpretation. XD (Nanoha apparently somehow missed the RDJ version entirely, and Miku's ignoring it all in favor of gushing over the Iron Man poster instead.)

mm, the posters were a fun quick little idea that I hadn't seen much, and add to the space effect.

 

Truth be told "The Voice" bleepberbach's Sherlock hasn't been premiered in my household yet, so wouldn't know the effects. Downey Jr just has been a crowd favorite since he showed up in Ally McBeal. The double serving was a bit iffish, but as I was quickly making these, they popped up the quickest as cool choices.

 

after these I thought more speck-ish choices could have included Dogma, and Bourne Identity, but ran out of rattle can laquer to make others... though that would have been a double Matt Damon serving... blast..

Speck has a cute bedroom and awesome stuffed animal collection. Having so many posters with RDJ makes you think she has a crush on him (puppy love! cute ) You really have made a good job of making all the props

That room and bed setup are awesome! So many nice little details make it look full sized! I'm betting even tho Speck looks a bit put out, she secretly enjoys her new place.

 

And she is so cute in some of these photos, her expressions and poses are so natural and realistic. I always love looking at your photos because of how natural the girls look. Excellent work!

Id say speck's demeanor is more of a "You, intruder" type thing. She's not something that can be used everywhere and everyday, but littleberries did make a firecracker of a girl.

 

But it is amusing how little can do enough, also the bed turning out better than I had expected, although I think I still need to make a cover for the head end of it.

 

Still its a bit of a shame this was just a temporary thing I put together in my newly extended bookshelf, but maybe one day I'll have excess time to go through an ambitious plan I have cooking in the back of my head.

Is there any way you can take a photo or two of this setup? The bedroom background I mean. I've been thinking of doing something similar here for my girls but I'm not sure on how to proceed. Any overviews of it would be great, thanks!

The shelf is open backed, so where the Holmes, and JP posters are that's me actual living room wall, with fiber glass weave that's been painted.. the head end "wall" was just a backing paper from a frame, where I stuck the Ironman poster over the huge logo, of which the thin red frame still peeks from the sides.

 

How it fits overall. The right segment is very much a Work in progress, since I dont really have time to fiddle things on weekdays:

The shelving is Ikea Ivar 30cm deep, that has some modded parts added. Mainly the head strips that hide light bars behind them, the half depth shelves, and the one's where the dolls are have been extended forwards about 9cm, and I plan to add lighting underneath the extension.

Wow. I'm totally amazed that such a simple setup gave you such good photos! I'm very impressed! Now I have a good idea of what I can do with my setup that I want to do, thank you so much for sharing those pics! Now to get some time and some stuff together to build what I want.
