Choppi Posted May 31, 2015 Hi, everyone! It's been a long time since I posted. I haven't been in the best condition, so my apologies! ;_; But I really wanted to come back, so I thought that I'd do a reintroduction so I can get to know everyone all over again! :'D Anyway, hi, my name is Lauren! I am 20 years old and I live in Indiana alongside my beloved animals (cats, dog, guinea pigs, and... snails??) Dolls are by far my biggest passion, but alongside it I'm forever obsessing over the series Umineko, haha. So I combine the two a lot! I am also starting to do faceups, currently only for resin dolls, but I plan to do vinyl dolls as well soon enough! I have also been self-studying Japanese for a long time, but I have been slacking as of late because of my addiction to FFXIV... oops. But on a more serious note, I am a sufferer from very severe anxiety disorders and so I might be too nervous to post a lot/reach out to talk to people/etc. So if you want to talk anytime anywhere about anything, PLEASE feel free to message me! It'd make me so unbelievably happy as I have been alone in this hobby and I would love nothing more than to make friends! Finally, here is a preview of my doll family, which I will be posting about in detail very soon! (sorry they're so messy rn and that I took the photo with my phone OTL) Anyway, hope to talk to you all soon, and I can't wait to look at everyone's lovely dolls again! The sculpts in my family: Beatrice, Rise, Komaki, Lucy, Etheldreda, Konomi, Maria, Nia, Erica, Melty, Rin T., Millhiore, Sheryl, Yoko, DDH-01, DDH-04, DDH-05, DDH-
aquilla429 Posted May 31, 2015 Welcome back to the forums! I'm recently getting back into the hobby myself after being out of it for a year or so, so we probably feel the same in a little way Anxiety disorders aren't a nice thing at all and as someone who has struggled with depression in the past, to the extent that I was on medication, I know how mental illnesses can bring you down. I'm still not an overly social person in the 'real world' and I struggle with personal interaction as I'm very socially awkward but I like having online friends so feel free to follow my tumblr or twitter or something if you want, that's where I connect best with most of my dorrie friends and more are always welcome ^^ You have a lovely looking group of dolls there, I can't wait to see all about them in more detail! My new domain and blog is now based on tumblr, you can find me at http://www.aquilla429.com https://twitter.com/aquilla429
N2DollsNow Posted June 4, 2015 Welcome...again! That's a nice group shot of so many Dollfie Dreams - did I correctly count thirty there? I'm approaching that number including Resins BJDs; and I'm pretty sure that I'm fast approaching my limit for proper attendance and care of them. Thank God they don't grow out of their clothing & wear out shoes the way kids do. Feel free to chat with me if you like; some of my fondest childhood memories are of the time I lived in rural Indiana before grade school.
