Sewing meet photos

We had a really great sewing meet yesterday and I snapped a bunch of pics to share!

 

Someone got an 03 head and mounted it onto one of those 2D resin bodies and brought her along. I really liked the way the head was painted but I was amazed at how nice looking the body itself was. It's very similar to the DDdy in proportions, especially the hips and thighs. The breasts were a bit smaller tho. Overall she was a very pretty girl!

This is Hikaru, she has the M+ Peach Pai and her neck was all sorts of jacked up. I had to take her apart to repair the neck but afterwards she was good as new! I really like this girl, she's so pretty!

This guy used to belong to the girl who made my Manami and Miyuki but when she moved she didn't have room for him anymore. So she gave him to me to give to another friend of ours from Columbia.

Normally I am all about wiping out some spiders. I despise the little monsters. But this spider doll was actually pretty neat. She belongs to the same girl from Charlotte that has all the little dolls.

I had to sell my VMF50 girl Hikari because we just didn't bond but luckily one of the locals got her. Now she's had her faceup redone, gotten a new wig and will soon have some new boobs. I think she kinda looks like Misa Amane from Death Note with that hair.

Damn this photo. Poor Emiko is getting consoled by Yoko and Chizuru because her left arm was broken off at the elbow..... by me. I didn't even move her arm much at all and it just snapped right off. She's on the old ball jointed Azone 60cm body and it's kind of wonky at times. It also seems to be getting brittle in spots, especially her joints. This isn't the first time she's had a broken elbow so we know what it'll take to fix her, it just sucks so bad that *I* did it to her. I felt really bad about it too. She seems to be okay tho, she just looks kinda sad without her left arm. Gotta get those replacement parts ordered ASAP.

But on a lighter note, my GF got this new 04 head girl named Sumiko! She's Emiko's little sister and her faceup was done by Eblktty. She has a bit of a mischevious look to her but she's still sweet. Plus she has so many freckles!

I'm glad to hear you had fun even tho you were working most of the time. Becca loves her new girl and has named her Sumiko. SHe's quite the little bundle of energy! As for the game, I was *just* starting to get the hang of it when you had to go. Next time I'll do better! And all I really wanted to do was flop that damned pig! But ohhhh noooo..... SOMEBODY had to swap decks on me! Booooo..... LOL

With any replacement parts you're always looking at the possibility of less than a 100% color match. The color match from the matte vinyl to the shinier hard plastic joint material is never dead on anyway due to the differing finishes on the two surfaces. But it would be a lot closer match than a white skin part. Since the elbow joints are sold in complete pairs you could replace the entire joint, not just the cap.

While the doll line has gone from Yamato Toy Company to Arcadia/AP to AP on their own, all of these dolls have been manufactured by the same company (Obitsu) from the first Minmay VMF50 to the latest Real Art Project release.
