Hi there! I recently just got interested in the whole DD aspect of the hobby. I have collected resin BJDs for six years or so, and want a new challenge. I have seen these dolls in person, and I love their polished look. I'm really excited to learn a lot here about the DD hobby, and I hope to get my own DD sometime later this year. Thanks for having me!

Howdy.

If you already have BJDs, then you are no stranger to the hobby at large, and should do quite well with them on the whole.

Have you decided on a character you plan to buy, or are you going to build your own? Looking at the different body/bust sizes and shapes is a big part of custom creation, I find. There is quite a lot of variance just in the bodies, then you have all of the heads to choose from, whether to grab a character head, or get a base 01-09 and paint/get a faceup. There are a few other companies that do DD compatible heads such as SQ, too, giving many more options.

A lot of food for thought, anyway. ^^

Thank you for such a nice welcome! I'm still lurking around trying to figure out what kind of DD I want, though I think I'm going to start with just a plain ol' DDH-03 with a DDIII body. I'm sure my terminology is atrocious... It's been six years since I've had something new in the hobby to research, so I'm excited for the challenge!
