Japanese dollfie customizer blogs

I thought this kind of thread would be nice for those looking for inspiration or just for artists to get commissions done from. Western customizers are welcome as well, even if you just post your own blog. I did look up for this kind of topic in the forums but there only was a "Post your own blog" thread. If any similar thread was already made, let me know and lock this.

Cototono has the most gorgeous dolls IMO. The eyes and lips are so lifelike and really push away any people saying that IRL anime people would look bad. The mods are just divine.

Worth mentioning is that I don't think there is a single Japanese customizer who will do a commission. They all stick to selling on Yahoo Auctions. Closest would be people like White Dolly Story who sell customs on YJA but is located in China.

A few reasons. Most don't speak a single word of English, if you email them they with machine translate everything.

 

Second is price, we're talking about people who regularly sell heads for everything between $150 and $1000+ and that's when they have free hands to do whatever they want. They have no incentive to take commissions because it'd just mean extra work for them, plus noone would be willing to pay the money.

 

The exception is of course White Dolly Story who charges $300 for a faceup, and not many are willing to pay that kind of money.

From what I heard, she didn't.

 

Everyone I know who have gotten faceups from WDS has paid $300.

I tend not to post the generic looking ones. The reason behind that is that this topic is mostly for inspiration and I don't think that I should post sameface blogs just for the sake of posting them.

My favourites are Tachibana Mikan and AUC Aki (CocoGirly.jp)

 

Aki's face ups go for over 100,000 yen on auction, and Tachibana Mikan's work also reaches very high numbers. They are both wonderful!
