New DDs (Kirika,Alisa, and Mariko)

Honestly rereleases make me mad. All of my dolls were worth more before they were rereleased, except the preorders which were low to begin with. The only rerelease that didn't really affect the first releases value too much was Sasara, although it did affect it a little. But, neither of these two are ones I have or want, so w/e.

 

I always love elves, but Kirika's mouth is set just a smidge too high for me go love. Although if it were lower she'd probably look like a moded 07 with elf ears. I wondef if her ears are permanent. It seems I can maybe see a seam by the head, but I may be imagining things. But if they come off that'd definitely be a deal breaker for me. I've already had experience with detachable ears that fall off and get lost.

The new god eater anime starts airing in July. I expect the re-release will be hard to win in the lottery. I got the old Alisa but I somehow want this one too lol, not the weapon though...

Well I believe I'm safe this time! Thought Volks would have me for sure with an elf girl but I don't like the spacing of her facial features. Good news on Mariko, I know a lot of folks have been pining for her

Wow, I didn't expect so many re-releases from Volks but this will be great for those who missed Alisa and Mariko. I had gotten an original Alisa head but sold it. Maybe this will be my chance to try again one day. I hope the secondary prices don't increase.

with the arrival of smart doll i have seen a steady decline of ddmarket. i wouldnt worry too much about aftermarket price

Kirika is so cute! I think she'll be popular overall because of her elf ears. Her face-up also reminds me of the work Japanese customizers do... if Volks steps up with their face-ups, I won't have to repaint my limiteds all the time, ha ha. I wish I could buy every DD that passed my fancy ;_;

I love elf dolls, but I'm not a fan of Kirika's face So completely safe here!

Same--for me it's mostly that micro-mouth. :/ Well, that, and she kind of has night-elf ears, and I need stick-straight-up blood elf ears for *my* nefarious ideas.

 

Still, I am totally thrilled to see Volks doing full-fledged elf ears on a DD! Hopefully she does well enough to warrant more in the future.

Have the first Alisa, so I am safe from her. If Mariko was WS I would want her. I have so many SWS DDs as it is. I do want Kirika though!

Kirika ALMOST got me. Those ears were a huge distraction, but facially she's just not to my taste. It is cause of that small mouth, and I'm sort of eh about the gap between here eyes? Either way, her ears are preeeeetty.

Yeah, even the eyes aren't bad, they are just something that I wanna see at more angles.

But that mouth....it is so small and I just want a regular smile! Me and the tiny mouths don't work out well.

 

This entire release is literally small mouths. Look at all the molds you like but you just can't take cause you don't love their mouths.

 

Maybe they did it to match the theme. XD

Maybe more people will want her if she comes in a normal skin color, but I doubt she'll be. =.=

Yeah i noticed that to...i think people mostly like the WS version (or a NS version if it ever comes out).... i personally love the SWS

 

But i seem to be the opposite of most people since i have no use for the outfit (or her eyes and wig)....Yukatas aren't really my thing xD

I'm so excited to see that Mariko won the Best Selection poll for this! I'll definitely be putting in my entry for cutie Mariko hehe. For me personally I prefer her in SWS than WS. You can treat staining on SWS the same as NS (whereas WS just yellows when treated) and I should be able to take decent photos of a SWS Mariko. Every time I try to take pictures of HPotaku's WS Mariko I have a terrible time of it ^^;;; Hopefully I can bring her home~
