New DDs (Kirika,Alisa, and Mariko)

Is very pretty. I love the blue with her natural look. And just cause I may love that they have a full length skirt doesn't mean I can't appreciate the short one as well. XD

 

TBF, Kirika I think it'd be nice if they released her alternative outfit with her.

Same. Short skirts are super cute, but something long and flowy is always welcome with me! That outfit looks really lovely as well. The maple leaf patterning on the sleeves is probably my favorite part there.

 

Edit: what is a spelling? is it edible?

I imagine it is a hassle to recreate too thus you go with the other outfit which I think is overall easier to compose. Also is more well known.

 

Both are stunning. I wish I liked her headmold more, but at least I think her fullset stuff is nifty. :> I'll be entering for a friend so maybe I'll get lucky enough to see her at least! I love to see the dolls even if I don't want them for myself.

Also I like seeing a full length dress for once. We see so many mini skirts that after a while even I get tired of it.

 

 

Wow both outfits are gorgeous! and I agree those platform geta are very cool in the illustrations, it is nice to see a change up from minidresses, the kimono/petticoat mashup looks quite elegant!

Yeah. Something about it seems off... I can't place what it is exactly, just something about it rubs me the wrong way. She's still cute though, I'm hoping to enter for Alisa just for her head (and maybe the eyes because I like those, if I find something I like more I'll sell them later I guess.) and if I'm really lucky I'll enter for this one because of the clothes too. It all depends on finances. I hope volks gives out the price of these things soon so I can at least try to plan.

I have a feeling that Kirika's much prettier than what we've seen so far. Straight-on face shots do look awkard sometimes, and don't show the sculpt.

I wonder if Kirika will be re-released with the alternate set Gunter posted. I think most of the more popular Tony/shining girl were released twice?

Her face is very old style anime which is perfect for what I want, but I do hope there is more to her than Volks is showing us. Her clothes though.....

Absolutely love marikos default set and her little kitty.

 

Most of the outfits are re-releases in different colour-ways, same with the shoes.

 

One other thing I love is Kirikas alternative bikini outfit, might have to try for that one!

I'm shocked that Kirika's elf ears are actually detachable! Chatted with chibinezumi about it and didn't think Volks would ever go the extra step of doing that. Anyone going for Kirika & not wanting those ears do think of me for your split hehe If Mariko hadn't been in this release I would've been very tempted by Kirika because I think she is such a cutie~

There are several outfit sets that I'm interested in, but the one I want the most is Natsuki's Punk Dress Set that is being re-released. Really hope this will be a lottery item and not click-war ^^;;;

Did I read the fine print that she's only 57,000 yen? Even with shipping, that's really reasonable for a limited rerelease of a popular sculpt, but I suppose it is her third release.

 

I may put in for her myself and just hold onto her in that case! She's probably my grail, and as I've stated before, I want at least her head, but this is all just lining up really well. Now, the question becomes do I ship her home or do I try to ship her to my university?

It's 57,000 Yen before tax (税別 = tax not included), but that's about what I expected for her. Her Student Ver. was 55,000 Yen before tax so not bad at all~ Even with the shipping added in the Yen to USD is so good for us right now

 

When I got Sasara the shipping for her was 4,850 Yen so Mariko will probably be about the same. If you do end up winning her just make sure that wherever you have her shipped that there will be someone to sign for the package

Just remember there will always be more girls in the future. Also possibly a re-release of Kirika in an alternate outfit later down the line since Volks seems very fond of doing that lately with the recent Shining Series girls (Sakuya & Melty). And heck maybe a good deal that comes up when you have free funds. It's much more important to focus on everyday necessities before dolls

You can't use something like Tenso.com as a shipping proxy?

Not that I know of, since I live in Japan and the choices Volks offers are a) pay/pick up at store or b) cash-on-delivery to your house. (they restrict shipping of lottery winnings to the address registered to your Volks VS/VIP membership, which is also new). There's no way to pay for it in advance and have it sent somewhere else; you have to personally hand money to a delivery driver or a store clerk at the same time they hand over the doll. I'm just out of town during the window, so unless something changes that means I can't pick up or take delivery myself since the window is so limited.

 

Interesting points from Volks News:

 

1. The Dollpoint heads are being released in Semi-White (Head-08, Head-09, eyes open/closed).
2. SS Bust is being released standard.
3. Unitorso parts are being released standard for 10,000 yen. NS and SWS, from SS up to L Shapely.
4. Kirika's ear parts are removable. (I would like extra pairs. Several of them. )
5. Kirika comes with both her long dress outfit and her short skirt / absolute territory outfit. Both in blue since the top is reused.
6. Kirika's swimsuit is being released as an alternate outfit.
7. The new Dolpa rules are covered in the front of the book, as we figured.
8. The regular clothes are a whole bunch of normal-looking outfits for the upcoming releases, plus only a couple fancier ones. I'd describe them, but honestly nothing beats pictures when it comes to clothes.

There is so much internalized screaming over this Volks News for me.

I admit i dislike the seams but I'm hoping Volks ears will look nicer than my parabox ones. My Zeldas' need these.
