I didn't enter the lottery, but managed to snag Kirika on yahoo auctions >_<

 

I've been keeping an eye on the auctions myself, from reading the other posts here all hope is not lost for winning but I fear her price will just increase over the next few days as I wait (probably in vain).

 

Maybe I'm jut paranoid, but I want to order off yja right now but no one has the doll yet so it's paying and hoping the person ships after the auction is finished - seems that could be a nightmare for nonjpanese and proxies (though if they have good feedback there's probably less risk)

 

 

If anyone doesn't want kirikas ears and / or head please let me know. I'm callin it at this point and waiving the white flag xD

No emails last night here either. I'm guessing this means it's done... I've checked a few places and doesn't look like any more emails went out last night.

 

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! I don't know if I even have the heart to look at second-hand/aftermarket prices

Alright, well my disappointment is monumental. If anyone is selling Mariko, I'm willing to pay a good bit above retail for her.

I've ordered a doll via Y!J before right after the lotteries a couple of times and personally it has all been rather smooth. It is a longer wait, and my proxy knew there would be a wait so it helped. Just that you have to be patient. Aim for the best price you can, but I do think this is the >best< time to get a doll. The cost may lower or go higher, but that's the risk involved.

 

In my experience though the risk is worth the reward hahah. Usually ends up going up higher or they simply stop existing on the market regularly. ^^;

There are tons of Marikos on Y!AJ. Most are under 80,000 yen. Alisa is pretty cheap too. Looks like Kirika is selling for more though.

I just coughed out some blood on YAJ too, for Alisa. I hope I didn't get ripped off too badly. I just couldn't wait.

How are people buying from YAJ? By themselves or through a forwarding/bidding service?

Well if you aren't in Japan then you are most like usin' a proxy/shopping service. Need a Japan address in order to make a Y!J account after all.

If you haven't gotten an e-mail yet, be sure to check your account on Volks as well. I hadn't received any notice up until now, but when I checked on my order statuses, I had won three of the dolls, as the "click here to proceed with payment" links showed up. *^*

It's been so long since I've won anything, how long does Volks normally take to physically send the dolls out after you pay?

I think they're completely finished giving results, because I emailed them the other day to ask if they had sent out all emails and they sent me this:

 

"Dear Customer,

So yeah all over now. On the bright side the dolls aren't going for a huge amount extra on YAJ if you want to stalk them out? Got Alisa there for an ok price.
