senyac Posted June 29, 2015 Hi , I recently got a new DDY Miko from Volks , I have noticed that her hip/thigh joints are very loose when compared to the DDS and DD3 , Is this normal ? Is it a design flaw with the DDY? Or is there a problem with My DDY , and if so how can I fix the loose hip joint? Thanks sen
galatia9 Posted June 30, 2015 I wasn't aware of any reported design flaws with the DDdyIII bodies. I recently got a Sasara 2nd DDdyIII body second hand, and the legs are nice and tight. Are your Miko's thighs pushed all the way onto their pegs? Do you have a picture? Some of my girls' arms and legs are just looser than others. I tightened a DDII girl's arms at the shoulders not too long ago, but they are still a bit floppier than I would like. Still, it is disappointing to get a brand new doll from the factory and having a problem! senyac Posted June 30, 2015 you were right her thighs were not pushed on to the pegs correctly . I had tried a couple times trying to push them on just by holding the leg and pushing but they would just flop out again , This Time I Squeezed the vinyl thigh so I could feel the plastic frame inside and pushed the thigh onto the peg and now its tight
galatia9 Posted June 30, 2015 Oh hooray!! Glad I could help! I found this thread here very helpful: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=44 It shows how your girl works on the inside! It's how I learned to tighten my girl's shoulders, and how to disassemble the body partly for shipping.
