Help with Dollfie trade values?

Hi,

 

I made an account here because I'm under the impression this site is probably my best bet for an attempt at trustworthy trading. Would someone tell me how to properly value Dollfie's for trading?

 

I had ordered a MDD Prisma Illya and a MDD Hollow Ataraxia Illya. The Prisma came in unopened and perfect, but it turns out the other one got lost during transport. The Hollow Ataraxia one is much more important to me for personal reasons, so, I'm trying to figure out if it is at all possible to trade for the latter with my Prisma one. I understand that the latter is an older one, so I could see it being worth a lot more. But again, I have no idea.

 

Illyasviel was the only reason I decided to get into Dollfie, and those were supposed to be my first two dolls. As a result, I don't have anything but my Prisma Illya to trade with.

 

I know this is really wordy and am sorry, but any help at all would be appreciated like...

1) Is it possible at all to get a trade like this just with what I have? Would I have to throw in some money?

2) What is the proper way and place to do something like this trade?

3) Anything important that I may forgotten because I am a newbie to this hobby.

First off, I'm really sorry that happened to you. It is devastating to lose something through the mail, which you quite literally have no control over. I hope you were at least able to get a refund for her value?

I personally think the one you are seeking is the better of the two, so I agree it is more important. She is also a lot rarer.

 

You'll wanna post about 20 times to gain Marketplace access so you can properly advertise your wish to trade.

 

TBH, Prisma is the easier of the two to seek, so someone may request a bit of funds, but I would say you shouldn't have to pay more than like $100~$200. They aren't far enough in costs to really to need to dump double what you spent. I think if you tried and were patient you may be able to do a straight trade. (Some people prefer that smile on Prisma) Just proceed any trade with caution. Make sure they have feedback that seems trustworthy and so on.

Thanks for the help. If I only need to put in $100-200, then that makes me very hopeful because I should have roughly $500 to spare after losing the order. Sadly, I could not get anything in the form of a refund I honestly really appreciate you going out of your way to answer such a lengthy post, so thank you very much! I'll get straight to work on my 20 posts.

Haha, I hope so too... Selling may be a bit out of the question because eBay is the only thing I'm familiar with and they really like to tack on fees >.<

Im assuming you are after a fullset Illya.. so...

 

There's one annoying little detail to keep in mind when thinking of the original fullset F/HA Illyasviel, is that the coat was an optional extra, even though its shown on the box of the doll if I recall correct.

 

So maybe the $100-200 quote gunter gave for the actual doll might apply, but I doubt you'd also get the coat for that, unless you had the school outfit to trade with Prisma Illya.

 

and then there's the Taiga Dojo outfit to consider also....

Yes, her special winter coat set is not including in that. She only comes with the basic dress. I did not include the price of that coat as it is literally a $150~$200 outfit on its own mattering on the auction. I don't think I've seen it under 15k ever though.

 

The uniform isn't even worth as much as that coat set, but who knows. It seems rarer than the actual doll to acquire.

Oh, I'd be perfectly happy with just her standard dress. I'll worry about things like her "bonus" clothing later (like maybe when it actually starts snowing here in the South ). I wasn't even aware her buruma outfit existed, so I don't think I'll worry about that either for now.

 

One thing I forgot to mention is that I happen to have the box for the HA Illya and her body base (so no head) at home. One of my close friends bought it for me a bit back from a sale somewhere because he knew I was a huge fan of her. I don't think having just the body base means anything, but is there a chance that it could help me?

Not really. Her body isn't in any way special. It is just a basic MDD2 body. You could sell it for a bit and move on, or ask for just head + fullset items. Up to you really.
