The Chronicles of Amber

OK, here goes.

 

First off, I want to say that I'm embarrassed by these pics. They are not up to the standards of other people here. I've taken them all with a tablet camera, and I've learned just how horrible the lighting in my apartment is. I'm not a good Dollfie daddy yet. Poor Amber's hair is often going wild and is either showing wig cap or has the wig out of alignment.

 

There are no wonderful outdoor vistas or scenic locations. There is only the corner of my desk and my game room.

 

So, these pics are not technically proficient by any stretch of the imagination. All I can say is that when I see Amber I just feel the need to snap pics. I hope my adoration of my girl can shine through and somewhat offset the poor image quality.

No need to feel embarrassed. I really like your pictures and I think it's great that you take many pictures of Amber. In fact, I think you should take even more as she is really cute.

 

Also, even tho your pictures might lack in image quality you have posed Amber great so that she looks quite alive, plus many of the pictures are funny and have variety.

My favorite pictures are: Amber and Saber 2, Space Battles 1, Soundwave Superior and the puffball one.

Don't be embarrassed, these pictures are quite good! The lighting is way better than you think it is :3 Amber is a cutie and I love the white dress she's wearing in some of the pics.

Don't be embarrased! It's a bit worn out phrase but we all got to start somewhere. To be honest, I've seen far worse tablet/phone camera pics! To me the imaginative poses is what makes these photos good.

 

I'm trying to get the puffball, honest.

 

You know, accidental scenes like that one can often be alot more fun than the perfectly lit and posed ones.

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement. I'll try to upgrade my skills and hardware.

 

Doing this has reconnected me a bit with stuff I enjoyed from my childhood. I used to love to take pictures, but due to the expense of film, I stopped. I think I need to pick up the hobby again. I had a lot of fun doing these, and it was so relaxing.

 

Most of my friends who I've shared the images with like the Space Battles ones.

Amber is looking great! I say as long as you're having fun taking photos of your girl that's all that matters. Practice makes perfect right? Styling wigs will get easier as you handle them more. Everyone starts out as beginners and eventually with all the knowledge you gain you'll become a DD Superstar Nice photos! My favorite is the bunny outfit one~

Amber got some new clothes today, so that meant it was time to dress her up and have her play with some of the other toys in the menagerie.

 

I've decided the corner of my desk is the place to do this. I can control the lighting better. Of course, it's a relative thing, but the pics I took in my game room had way too much glare. And yes, I'm still doing this with the tablet.

You mean the forum image tags for posting images? I don't think you can use those. Instead, copy the BB code from flickr and paste it in the post editor. For example, the first picture has this BB code. You'd have to copy all of it and paste it in the editor:

Pro Tip I usually insert a new line after the first [/url] tag to force the links to show under the image instead of to the right of it like above.
