sklurk Posted July 2, 2015 I have 2 yards of a fabric I want to use, but it's too light in color... has anyone redyed fabric before in a fashion that is stain safe? It's light blue, I need it to be a few tones darker. I believe the fabric is a cotton/nylon blend.. if not completely cotton.

Consider that you can't safely redye a non 100% natural fiber fabric (infact you cannot dye polyester fabrics, for example) , because the not organic fiber will not catch colour or catch partially (i had an issue with a net with was said 100% cotton but was probably 95 % cotton 5% nylon or other and i dyed black and turned sand colour!) and probably the fabric re-dyed will shed a bit of color with following washes so i think it can be safe after 2-3 time of washing, but in my honest opinion i would ALWAYS line the garment to prevent staining or put a bodysuit under it ... ****** My Custom DD outfits shop ******My Custom Faceups shop ****** Girls at home: Lilac - DD2 WS + DDH-06 /Primrose - White Christmas Alna head /Iris - DDS NS + DDH-05 modded /Amaryllis - MDD NS + DDH-06 modded
sklurk Posted July 3, 2015 the site I bought the fabric says 100% cotton, I might try to dye a test swatch and see how well it fixes... then do a test on one of my mule heads to test for bleed.
