Rei in *her* $10 outfit! :)

Well, it seems Mitsuki has beaten me to the punch!

 

I got an email from Alices Collections a while ago and they were offering their previous customers a really good deal on a limited amount of outfits. They had one that was normally like $35 on sale for TEN BUCKS! So I had to get it because I thought it would look nice on Rei.

 

I then thought that Mitsuki may like this style too so i forwarded her the email notice. She then took the ball and ran with it and wound up getting all sorts of cool things for her girls! She has shown these off wonderfully in her recent "Fashion Show" threads. And now she had her Sakaki show off that excellent ten dollar set.

 

So now I figure I'll share how Rei wears this same set that Sakaki wore so well. Seeing as how Rei is NOT into all the frilly and pretty stuff, she kind of didn't want to even get into this but she did promise me a while ago that she would.

 

So here is Rei in her new outfit!

 

"Papa, do I *really* have to wear this?"

 

Aw come on dear, you look great in that!

 

 

"Sigh, well if I must. It will be over soon enuff."

 

Come on Rei, it's not that bad.

 

 

"I suppose not Papa."

 

 

Ok Rei, can you stand up so I can get a good picture of you in the dress?

 

"Yeah sure..."

 

 

And can I see the back?

 

"Alright then. Is this good?"

 

Yes dear, very good.

 

 

Rei, you really do look great in this. I think it suits you very well.

 

"Really? Do you think so or are you just telling me this to get me to pose more?"

 

No no! I really do think you are adorable in this.

 

"Well then, let me give you a few more angles if that's ok...."

 

Oh please do Rei!

 

 

 

"HI YAH! Explosive Karate KICK!"

 

Wow Rei, I didn't know you could kick butt in a dress!

 

"I can kick but in anything papa! Hee hee!"

 

I got Rei to giggle, this is awesome!

 

 

"I have a cute pose for you Papa, take one of this!"

 

 

I'm glad you like the dress Rei, that makes me happy.

 

"It's okay Papa. It's at least fun to wear for a while. But don't tell Yoko.... she'll pick on me about being super girly or something."

 

Ok Rei, it will be our little secret.

 

"That's right! V for Victory!"

 

 

 

 

I'm really happy I got this outfit. For ten bucks its a huge win. Plus, Rei now likes it a bit better. I just can't tell anyone about it...

Rei looks great! Very nice outfit, I think it suits her well, actually. Alice Collection has some nice stuff.

It's not frilly-frilly...it's got a couple of ruffles and a bit of lace, but ultimately it's a very tailored outfit. It's very "less is more." Clean lines. I think it's more Rei's style than not Rei's style. It even looks like she's warming to it in the photo story.

Rei is so cute! The looks elegant and sophisticated in that outfit. Her poses are great. Her beautiful hair and eye color really stand out in this outfit too. She is really adorable!

I do think Rei warmed up to this set by the end of the photo session. She didn't take it off immediately afterwards either so that was also a good sign.

 

Yeah, it's not too frilly at all, I do agree that it has a very tailored and "uptown" look to it. I think that's why Rei got into it a bit more. Plus she likes when I tell her she looks nice.

 

I wish more black stuff was available that didn't stain. Rei's hair and eyes do stand out so well against dark clothing like Mitsuki said. But I fear the stain!

The white shirt should help. Also helpful: the Volks white body stockings. Although Beach Girl Nikita's protective suits are even better where that's concerned. Cool Cat also makes them, but I don't like the fact they have such high necks. That makes them impractical in most applications.

Oh yeah, that white lingerie you showed off at Figure FM might actually be helpful, particularly including the half-slip.

Actually Cool Cat has made a protective garment that is actually practical and quite like the ones Beach Girl Nikita makes. It's about $10 more expensive, and has a zipper that could be good or bad depending on your point of view, but it's at least versatile enough to not show under a lot of garments.

 

I still prefer Nikita's, particularly the ones made of matte lycra fabric that look like long sleeve t-shirts under other clothes, but this will do.

That's an interesting stocking. I dont know about the zipper tho. That may get in the way on some outfits. But the neckline is way better than the others they have.
