Mimiyo3 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) Miku had a few hairs that slid partially out of her right twintail. What happened here is they caught on something and this was the result. I think the only solution is to take that one entirely out and retie it. The problem here is I have no idea how to go about it with her original ties which I would like to keep so that I can still put her hair clips on. Does anyone have any ideas here? Okay... not sure if the photo looks weird to everyone or just on mobile. Anyone with a computer let me know if I need to change this. Edited July 8, 2015 by Guest Present! Jezrah Posted July 8, 2015 Your image is way huge, try the http://imgur.com/DqjcF5T.jpg' alt='DqjcF5T.jpg'> Yes, you'll have to retie her hair to fix that. I'm not sure if her hairtie can be saved or not, it depends on if you can get it out fully intact. But one thing I learned about those kind of ties from my Mitsuki's wig is that they can weaken over time when you put other hair accessories over them. I recently had one of hers snap and had to replace it.
Mimiyo3 Posted July 8, 2015 I took the hairtie off after posting this since I figured I'd have to later anyways. It's in one piece but I'm gonna have to play with it a bit to sort it In working order. It's kinda in a ball right now. Thanks for the tip. I'm new not just to here but forums in general. Best I've ever done before this place is lurk. Present! Miku, Aria, Celia, Melody, Aveline, Rin T, Ted, Chi, Yumi, Melanie, Rin K, Len, Ea, Alter, Illya, Rachel, Aelia, Matt, Jace, & E.N.O. W.I.P. Mimiyo3 Posted July 8, 2015 Also, I forgot to ask but what did you replace the hair ties with? Knowing Miku it's gonna be relevant info sooner than I'd like it to be. Present! Jezrah Posted July 8, 2015 Mitsuki's original hairties were the color of her hair (blonde) so I replaced it with a kid sized blonde hairtie. For Miku you'd need a small black one. The trick is finding thin ones so it doesn't look out of scale.

Guest Posted July 12, 2015 I just redid one of my Miku's twin tails yesterday. I'm sure you've already noticed but the hair tie is actually just an elastic thread that has been repeatedly wrapped around the twin tail. I managed to snip the tiniest bit of it off with some fabric scissors, and unravel it, in order to salvage as much of the hair tie as I could. Afterwards, I redid her twin tail and wrapped the elastic string around it as tight as I could, then retied the knot. I did this with some help, so having another set of hands nearby will really ease the process if you can manage it! The tie is much smaller, even though only a little of it has been snipped off, so I tied a tiny, black plastic rubber band around her twin tail as well, just for some extra support. Her hair piece actually stays on better now than it did before! Hope this helped.

I had my boyfriend look at it because I'm horrible with my hands and he got how it works so I think I'll have him help might want to get black rubber band to put over the other if it keeps them in place better. That's the whole reason she got loose hairs in the first place. The darn clips kept snagging them whenever they moved and pulling them out. Present! I got myself in the worse condition where her hairband became loose after times and her back hair became too messy... I'm too afraid to redo her wig because I've actually never seen the result anywhere... please help me
Shailara Posted June 18, 2017 So I want to throw an idea in here, I know you have untied her hair already but for other people who might want suggestions...? Perhaps using a crochet hook to pull the rebelling strands back into their place might work... (\_/) ( ' .' ) ( uu)
