Miss RJ Posted July 9, 2015 Hello everyone , I have noticed a tiny red dots in my DD head, the dots was in her face and that's what make me sad! It's hard to photograph it, but I tried my best to take a clear picture : These just the dots in her forehead, there's also between her eyes and under her eyebrow and mouth. I'm thinking of treating it using Dream Rescue from Volks, but I'm afraid if I do it'll ruin her faceup (இ﹏இ`。) So, what do you advise me to do with these dots? I really don't know how to deal with it Thanks in advance ❤
Innocentsake Posted July 11, 2015 Hi Miss RJ Which head is this happening on? The first thing that comes to mind is that if it's an older girl then it could simply be the vinyl aging and that's what's causing the red dots. Also knowing what head mold it is maybe others who have the same girl could see if that is happening to theirs. If it's not an older girl, but a newer one then perhaps it is something in your home that has gotten on her (spray or something like that since it's dots on the head). On the forehead you could try using a bit of magic eraser to see if it will come off. Just don't use it on the face since it is an abrasive and would damage the face-up. The Dream Rescue would be fine to use on the forehead, but anywhere on her face-up would not be a good idea. "Please do not use this cream near or over the painted features. This cream may remove or damage the painted area or makeup." This is from the Dream Rescue instructions from Volks that foo posted here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=11391 I know it can be disheartening to see things like this appear on your DD girl so I am sorry for that But on the upside at least the dots are quite small. I had to really squint & look at the photo up close before I could even see anything. Each of my girls have their own little quirks as I like to call them on their heads/faces. At first it would bother me, but after awhile I didn't even think about it anymore and went back to enjoying them. Whatever happens I hope you can still enjoy playing with your DD girl and not worry too much

Whatever happens I hope you can still enjoy playing with your DD girl and not worry too much Hello my lovely friend Innocentsake , Thank you for your answer, I didn't expect someone to response me It's a new DD head that I bought recently and didn't introduce her yet in my Instagram account, that's why I kept her a secret until I'll have more free time xD I received the head with these dots I didn't know about from the seller and that's what make me upset I don't have magic eraser so I tried to rub the dots first with wet cotton but it didn't come out at all! then I tried Acetone, also it didn't work ...... As you said I moved to the last option Dream Rescue and applied it carefully in her forehead. I also applied it on the dots near the make-up area! I know I'm insane but seen the dots just irritated me !! and yea, I took a dangers step I removed the Dream Rescue from the head after one day. the dots didn't come out completely but it faded about 90%. Now it's more harder to see it. I thought of treat it again but I couldn't take the risk again. So, I should be thankful. As you mention, the dots before the treatment are not that visible when taking photos to the head, I took a while to make them clear in the above picture xD but they was obvious in person . Thanks god after treatment it's really become unnoticeable even in person! Unless you're someone incredulous like me I really appreciate your help and your words make me better. I hope I can be like you and after a while I'll forget about these dots and enjoy playing with my DD without worries. Thanks from the bottom of my heart
Innocentsake Posted July 17, 2015 Ah since she came to you like that from the seller I guess we can never know how the red dots appeared on her That is definitely something the seller should have mentioned, but perhaps they didn't see them? I would like to think they wouldn't sell something without going over the entire condition of the item, but I know there can be bad sellers out there Too bad you couldn't get like a partial refund from the seller. But if you used a proxy to purchase her from YJA then it's just one of those things you can't do anything about now. But if you bought it directly from someone you could've messaged them about it. In any case I guess now you know not to purchase from the particular seller in the future. Glad to hear that you were about to get 90% of the red dots off of her head and face (you're so brave )! Yeah things like that are always more noticeable in person than in photos. At least now they are not going to bother you as much. I promise you'll not worry about it one day When I first got Yuri (Saber Lily) I noticed that the tip of her nose was quite shiny even though my friend had kept her in mint condition. It bothered me for so long! But eventually I just forgot about it and when I look at her now I'm not really sure why I was ever bothered in the first place I think the longer you have been collecting the more you get used to these kind of things happening. On my Akane (Custom 02) I've accidentally nicked her nose with the Volks razor brush while trimming the bangs on a new wig I got for her. You can't really see it unless you look really REALLY close. I felt bad when it happened, but again I got over it and continued on~ So just remember: Keep Calm & Play with Dolls
Jezrah Posted July 17, 2015 Excuse me, I'd like to say that I was the seller and when I sent that head it was in perfect condition. The implication that I would try to pull one over on someone makes me really angry. I have no idea where the marks could've come from. Maybe there was some kind of residue I couldn't see on the bubble wrap, or maybe someone mishandled it during customs inspections. I've never had something happen like it before, so I can only speculate. We discussed the marks via pm when it arrived, and the OP didn't want anything done as far as I know, and left me good feedback. I in no way pressured them to do so. Hiya Jezrah Wasn't sure if your comment was meant for myself or the OP so I'm replying on my own behalf. My opinion up above was made on the facts presented to me in this thread along with my own experience with a couple of bad sellers. I had no idea who the seller was, how this head was purchased, or any details about the transaction. It's great that you did discuss this issue with the OP through messages because that's what a good seller does. And it's also great that you both came to the conclusion that the transaction was indeed positive thus the feedback you've left for each other. I've purchased from you in the past so I know you're a good seller I do hope you understand that I was merely expressing my opinion about the OP's situation as it was presented. Thanks! Jezrah Posted July 18, 2015 No, I'm sorry if I sounded snarky, I know you didn't have details of the sale. I only didn't comment initially because I didn't want to give away which head it was if it was a secret.
Miss RJ Posted August 4, 2015 Innocentsake & Jezrah : I'm so so sorry for the troubles I made I really don't blame Jezrah for what happened because she has been honest with me from the start and she commit that the dots wasn't there when the head was with her and she really deserve the positive feedback. I posted this trying to figure out how to make these dots gone away with members experience. Really didn't mean anything else I'm feeling guilty, So sorry again ="( But There's happy thing I want you to know! The dots almost disappear more than before , now it's about %5 visible or maybe less (*^▽^*) !! Thank you so much Jezrah for selling me this gorgeous head & Thank you also Innocentsake for your big help I'm waiting for her eyes to come and then I'll introduce her officially ^_^
