White Skin Head on Semi-White Skin Body?/ Modded DDdy Bodies

Recommended Posts

iPOUT

So long story short, almost a year ago I brought a white skin lucy head off of ebay thinking I'd buy a white skin body later or eventually until I read that white skin bodies yellow faster or when stains are removed from them. So I guess the question I'm asking is would it be strange or look weird if I used a semi-white skin body for a white skin head?

Thanks to everyone who answered my question, by I also have another question and I didn't want to start a new thread over it so I edited this one. This question is focused on DDdy bodies that have been modded to have normal DD3 busts (S, M, L, etc.). The question is does modding the body effect the flexibility of the body in any way and does modding the bust make clothing options easier. Sorry for have all these random questions, but I think it's better the ask people with experience than to just wonder about it.

Yup, it would definitely look weird. SWS is NOT a good match for WS.

I think you're overestimating the issues with WS bodies. Yes, some of the really old WS dolls have yellowed a little bit (seems to be a thing that mostly happens with Nia?), but I've got a WS Saber Alter from 2012 and I've never had a problem with her. Also, people have successfully removed stains from WS without any discoloration, so it seems like that may not be an issue with the newer vinyl and/or Volks own stain removal cream.

Really?!

Thanks. Now I don't have to fear getting a white skin body.

In my experience, even when DD White skin does change colour, it goes a very nice tone.

This is a picture of my DD Yashiro Kasumi who is a very old girl now and has changed colour. The hands she is wearing were new at the time and illustrates the colour difference between new and old.

Please bare in mind that these changes have happened over the course of about 8-9 years and I never even noticed that she had changed until the first time I put brand new hands on her. Honestly though, I prefer her creamier colour in comparison to brand new white skin it's a lovely colour in person

I agree with Cauldroness , to match a white skin head with a semi white body is almost impossible, so i would go for a WS body too if i was in you….

I have to add that the match is ALMOST impossible tought because i have a White Christmas Alna ( old head with hard cap) which dunno how is possible (since i didn't blushed her much when i re-faceupped , to match a not ws body) match more on a sws body that with the ws one (i have a white dd2 body at home for my first girl) . Dunno if maybe is the yellowing , or maybe the hard vynil has a slightly different hue than the soft cap version but she definitely match more a sws than ws , and the difference is hardly noticeable.

Here's a photo of her on a DDS semi-white body

However i think her case it's an exception

That's weird, because my WS girl is standing next to my SWS girl, and the SWS is MUCH more pink than the WS. Though I did put my SWS head on the WS body when she didn't have her own, and it seemed to match ok that way, except in really good lighting. It actually made her head look paler. I haven't tried my WS head on the SWS body, but somehow I feel it wouldn't go as well that way. A lot of people have faces that are a little darker than their body, but not so much the other way around.
