Buying Hands/Heads from Volks USA vs International site

I didn't want to hijack someone else's post about buying stuff since it didn't really answer my own particular questions. So forgive me if there's been a similar post concerning my topic. I did attempt to use the search option, but that brought up way too many topics that had nothing to do with what I needed.

I'm going to be buying 2 sets of hands and possibly a blank head in the near future. My question is: Should I buy them from Volks USA or Volks Int? A few mentioned it was cheaper to order from their Japanese site, but that would make me worry about how long it would take to get through customs and then to my home. Wouldn't Volks USA be faster shipping since it's obviously already within the country? If there is a price difference on hands and heads how much is it?

I'm unable to access the USA site as the moment since I'm outside of the country which is why I'm asking.

Volks USA is faster. The time is cut in half at the least, or that's been my experience with it. As for the pricing, yes volks USA charges more upfront for items, but the shipping is cheaper so it actually works out to nearly the same. There may be a slight difference but it's not very significant if so.

As a resident of CA, it is actually cheaper to go through Volks International. Taxes really hurt, but as long as your shipping address isn't in California, then you are pretty much free to go through either or.

Faster to use USA, either service is gonna be great. They restock International more though so if you want a certain head and it isn't in stock in the USA then you are better off watching International.

 

Honestly, I base my choice on stock every time.

Thanks to you both! I think you've convinced me to order from Volks USA over the International just due to the shipping times. I don't live in CA fortunately so the taxes won't be an issue for me. Yay this helps!

Yes I'm currently in England, but I also travel to the USA from time to time.
