hatchetsforhands Posted July 27, 2015 I'm so excited about becoming a participating member of the Dollfie Dreams forums. I've been lurking for about two weeks now because I just got my Hatsune Miku DD from VolksUSA online while they had the limited time sale for Anime Expo. I had my boyfriend help me buy her, so I'm slowly working on paying him back. He doesn't mind being patient with me, and I'm really fortunate that I have such a generous person in my life. ;u; For a long time now I've been collecting anime figures, so the DD venture is brand new to me. I'm hatchetsforhands on MFC if you are interested in being friends. I've learned some really great tips just from browsing the forums, and I'm getting so into my DD that I wanted to participate outside of MFC! There is very little DD community on MFC other than just the rare split, sale, or acquisition. I feel like since I've got her I've been hovering over my mailbox every day. I've got two clothes orders coming in from CoolCat, and I'm also ordering the Rise Kujikawa School Uniform set from a user on here. I also found a cute wig on eBay to replace Miku's default with. Her wig is such a hassle, and loves to friz easily... I'm so excited to be dressing up my Miku in my own unique way. I'm not sure if I'll get another Dollfie anytime soon since I'm a college student and working on paying my BF back for this one, but I imagine I will a few years from now when I make a higher income. N2DollsNow Posted August 17, 2015 Welcome to the forum! It's great that your BF is helping you with your hobby(s)! I also started with figures (mfc username FgrClctn) as did many others participating here. You're among like-minded folks, so make yourself at home! Another item you'll want to get from Cool*Cat is their joint reinforcing rings for the hip & shoulders. I discovered cracks in three of my DDIII girls hip joints & my early DDIII Yukino shoulder broke clean apart. The reinforcement rings fit so well that the Yukino shoulder is fully repaired! Volks' design modifications have improved those areas, but I've bought & installed the rings in all my DDIII girls as cheap prevention. I'm not much of a Miku fan, but I couldn't resist pre-ordering the winter version. So I'm looking forward to seeing how you dress & wig yours if & when you decide to post some pictures!
