finnleo Posted August 15, 2015 This batch was a bit of an amusing coming to, as I noted while shopping at the local budget-store I noted a pair of miniature novelty boxing gloves, and wondered if they would be just the right type of miniature.. and indeed they worked with a DD rather nicely. baldylox Posted August 15, 2015 Ha ha, she looks great as a boxer! Even if you made the shirt and trunks, they look "real" enuff to pass as training clothes you'd see in a gym. Nice work on them! She looks really good here, I love all the poses she's doing. Most of them could be definite boxer poses. I've only seen one small boxing glove before and all of them were the same side (right hand). I'm amazed you found some that were a matched pair! Does the store you bought them at sell these online? I'd love to own a couple of pairs so my girls could spar with each other. finnleo Posted August 18, 2015 Thank you all very many. mm, the clothes aren't terrible, especially for a quick draft and adaptation job, though lining them made it a bit troublesome, which shows on the top especially. but all in all Beat makes it all work. The gloves indeed were a real payoff, despite needing a little stitching for the thumb to stay down. Must admit that I've never been a fan of Beato's character, probably because of how she was portrayed in the anime. But here she looks so cute and happy. Well.. I really liked beat in the anime due to complicated nature of character... despite maria being the most dear if you wish, then again maria was the sympathy bait for the series. But as far as working with Beat's head mold, it is one of the more successful one's, since depending on the clothing, wig and angle, she can be just happy, smug, naughty, or just the "Cat who just had the canary for lunch" type deal. Does the store you bought them at sell these online? unfortunately no. I did manage to get two extra pairs of red & black sets, since they didn't cost too much, but postage could be more than the items worth, since the local post apparently has taken lessons from their Canadian counterpart considering pricing.
