hatchetsforhands Posted August 26, 2015 I recently found a Youtube by Luckyduckeez&Tangy_MelonBJD describing how to lightly modify Minnetonka brand key chains to fit onto DD/SD size feet. At the end, a DD is shown wearing the shoes if you want to see the final result. Too adorable! I've been able to find the grey suede moccasins (and all other colors) on this website for the cheapest price. During checkout they even give you a free shipping coupon for this month, so my total ended up being $9.98. Minnetonka moccasins are my favorite casual shoes, and I'm head over heels with the idea of my Dollfie Dream being able to wear a pair too!!! I hope my daughter loves them. McKennachu Posted September 11, 2015 How adorable! I'm also curious as to see how your pair worked out. It seems like a bit of work (and I'm surprised there aren't any DD-sized moccasins!)
hatchetsforhands Posted September 16, 2015 They are cute! How difficult was the modification? Linda S. galatia9 It was pretty easy! You have to really rip the spongy soles out and pick at the remnants if you don't pull them out hard or fast enough, but the modification wasn't anything damaging to the shoes or difficult in the least. hatchetsforhands Posted September 16, 2015 How adorable! I'm also curious as to see how your pair worked out. It seems like a bit of work (and I'm surprised there aren't any DD-sized moccasins!) Like I said to galatia9, it was pretty easy! (I didn't know how to reply to both comments so I just replied to theirs first.) I should note that you should definitely have your DD wear socks or line the feet with plastic wrap when wearing these shoes, because the pressure against the widest parts of the feet caused my socks to turn the faintest bit grey. The staining seemed to fade on the fabric though after I took the shoes off, removed the socks, and then stretched the socks a bit in my hands. I'm pretty sure it might have just been suede dust or lint and would even come off in the wash if necessary.
