Kaoru is back

Yesterday we received a somewhat big package from Suzuna.

I wanted to thank her again and dedicate her this little story

Inside was a brand new DDII body in NS.

Now began the hardest part - transplantation. Poor Kaoru was body-less for a quite long time...

 

Aerie - Well, Kaoru, I hope You will be ok. I never used this spell before...

I think that is from the Dark Crystal. That is awesome! The whole story is awesome! The first shot is so poetic (like Hamlet holding Yokick's skull). Very dramatic!

I knew that sounded familiar! I love Jim Henson movies and I really want to go to the museum of Puppetry Arts to see the Skeksis.

Yes, it's Dark Crystal. One of my favorite movies since many years.

Movie entirely made using dolls - You know, I think it's one of reasons, that now I'm making these photos of my very own DDs...

 

Aerie as Gelfling? Who knows...

Congrats on finally getting the girl her own body! It'll be great to see her really strut her stuff. And the last hugging shot is just so adorable.

 

I also have to chime in on the Dark Crystal love! My mom's dog is actually even named Fizzgig.

Naw, he's not a Pom; we named him more for his face than his fluff. http://lilschmoopie.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=scraps#/dr1d3a Though in this particular picture he'd been shaved for the summer, so he's in reality not entirely fluffless. (His fluffiness is mostly head/neck, and then his body is usually rather scruffy. XD) Oh, and he does get separation anxiety and throw little fits like the movie Fizzgig. You know how Kira tries to tell him to stay behind when they get on the landstriders, and he cries and flails his little feet? Yeah, our Fiz totally does the same thing when my mom leaves sometimes. And then, if he's really miffed, he runs off and gets into the trash can just to show how miffed he is. XD

I'm glad to see her doing well! Cute spell too. It makes me want to do something fantasy themed as well.

Yeah Dark Crystal! I love this movie too.

Now I would like to watch it again, but it is a very old VHS video, not sure it will work again.

As for Dark Crystal, many years ago one of our friends from middle school saw the movie and told us the whole story. With details. In these old days, only few people had a VCR or a color TV.

He probably had a gift for telling stories because we felt like watching the movie. And I knew I will like it.

When few years later Polish public TV broadcasted The Dark Crystal, it was (iirc) the very first movie I got on VHS (the second was TRON or Blade Runner. Don't remember )

It's one of a kind, too bad it's only one... and there aren't many other movies in similar mood.

How awesome would that be? I loved that movie and most of his works. You may not be familiar with it but do you recall "Stroytellers"? It was a Henson TV show that had live action mixed with muppets and wild creatures from Hensons workshop. They had some of the coolest short stories on that show. I think it only lasted one season back in the late 80's but my Mom has all of the episodes on VHS. I need to see if anyone has transferred them to DVD so I can watch them again. I so miss Jim Henson.

Jim Henson movies are awesome. My favorite growing up was the Labyrinth!

 

They have 'The Storyteller' on Netflix, that might be it! Did you know that Pilot from Farscape was a puppert created by the Jim Henson Workshop?

I watched 'The Labyrinth' long ago. Nice movie, but I like TDC much more.

But I don't remember seeing 'The Storyteller', although it was broadcasted in Polish TV.

Now I don't have much time to watch movies.

 

Now it's either watch movie or - for example - make some photos of my girls. Or even sleep.

I need 36-hour days
