Hiyono Posted August 28, 2015 I went to Japan for a week. Sadly it was raining for most the trip so didn't take my girl out for photos. Went to lot of events and made new friends. Comiket, Nisekoi Fes02, Kyoto, Shirokuro Fes, Egoist Live. Here's some of the photos. Rest are on my flickr. baldylox Posted August 30, 2015 So many cool pictures! They bring back a lot of memories of my trip to Japan back in 2010. The pics at the Mandarake are awesome, there's so many dolls in there! I had no idea that heads were so popular to sell by themselves, I didn't see ANY heads by themselves 5 years ago. The picture from the Azone store is cool too, there are so many nice outfits there! And it looks like you got your girls a TON of nice things from there! The bow & arrow set is amazing, I love that! How much did those cost? The school supplies were killer looking too, so cute! Is that last photo from Kyoto? If so, I think I went to that same shrine! I can't remember the name of it but they had kitsune guardians all over the place. And that path of torii was super long! Very cool to walk thru tho, I had a wonderful time there. Thanks for sharing all these photos with us! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Very cool to walk thru tho, I had a wonderful time there. Thanks for sharing all these photos with us! Billy Mandrake is really nice and they are scattered all over tokyo. There is one in Nakano, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ikebukero, etc. Each has a decent amount of dolls to look at. The bow an arrow cost me 4800yen from one of those rent boxes that 3rd party vendors sell stuff at Volks Akihabara. The wooden sword for saber also from there. I got the zone school supply set for my senjyogahara cosplay. One day when I get around to ordering the costume. The last photo from Fushimi Inari, Kyoto. Its one of my favorite places in Kyoto. I find all the toris and forest really pretty. I was planning on taking my Sakuya there but the weather report said it was going to rain. Would of been able to take great pictures with Sakuya. Maybe next time. Its like a 2-3hour hike to get around the whole mountain of tori. Amazing photos! I am determined to open my own doll store. I agree with baldylox that bow set is amazing! Thanks. Good luck on your own store.
baldylox Posted August 31, 2015 Mandrake is really nice and they are scattered all over tokyo. There is one in Nakano, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ikebukero, etc. Each has a decent amount of dolls to look at. I hit quite a few of them while I was there, including a couple in Osaka. That's where I picked up my Rei Ayanami. It's nice to see so many dolls available there to adopt! The bow an arrow cost me 4800yen from one of those rent boxes that 3rd party vendors sell stuff at Volks Akihabara. The wooden sword for saber also from there. I got the zone school supply set for my senjyogahara cosplay. One day when I get around to ordering the costume. You got a great deal on the bow and arrows! They look amazing. And that makes perfect sense on the stationary for your Senjyogohara cosplay. The last photo from Fushimi Inari, Kyoto. Its one of my favorite places in Kyoto. Maybe next time. Its like a 2-3hour hike to get around the whole mountain of tori. Yep, that's the same place I went! You're right, the tori and forest were awesome. I didn't have any girls with me either but I know taking pics there with one would be really fun to see. I hope you can make it back and do it sometime! Shizusan Posted September 17, 2015 Great Pics, I'm jealous. Is japan the only place I could get my hands on the Yumi and Ya, as well as the bokken?

Hiyono Posted September 24, 2015 Thanks for the replies. Great Pics, I'm jealous. Is japan the only place I could get my hands on the Yumi and Ya, as well as the bokken? I think Volks has an official Bokken for Saber.
engelmech Posted September 24, 2015 Really cute girls, too bad you couldn't get outside shots. I'm lovin those store photos, I always get that excited buzzy feeling when I see tons of doll hobby stuff. I just came back from Korea, and went to the Volks store there, and I was just... sweating looking at all that stuff. God forbid a store like that open locally, my wallet would suffer greatly.
