Kagamine Rin & Len & New Miku outfits!*pic updated*

I just think it's a little. . . illogical, I guess, to try to correct for potential issues when we haven't even seen what the issues could be yet. Deep breath, Sister. .

 

It's not like I'm panicing or anything and to me it seems perfectly logical. Len has more than one hair style with different outfits (and I'm sure Rin does too). I already have the yarn because I picked it up with some Bday money from one of my sisters after I've had a hard time finding that *perfect* shade of yellow that could also be used for Link's hair and some other blond shota boys that Tama keeps asking me to make him cosplay costumes of.

 

Galvatim's pic is also another example of more realistic hair and what could be possible with Volks wigs and the fibers they use. The problem with that is this is what I always think of with Rin & Len:

 

 

 

What I'm looking for is the 'cartoon' hair. I know I could do it with yarn, but I'm really not sure what direction Volks will take. And as for my 75%/25% comment that was more of a reflection of me than Volks. When I have a mind to I can be utterly picky beyond reason. Not something I'm proud of, but it does happen. My assumption is that my 75% standard would be perfectly acceptable to most people.

 

I bet a 'boy' DD will just be a girls body with a SS chest.

 

If they do that I'll be pissed, but there's probably some sort of alternative body I could put him on if it came to that, right?

hah the idea of his head on a smart doll male body made me laugh. then you might as well put her head on a dddy body and say they both grew up

I personally hope that they -don't- look like the Tony Taka versions. They look cool, but they don't look like -my- Rin and Len. I think the 'young boy/young girl' aspect of them is too popular for Volks to do that, though.

Oh yeah. Unless Danny Choo makes a DDS equivalent there's no way smart doll guy would work. I really do hope they give Len a male body... The body type it would turn out as if they did is perfect for a custom I have in mind for later. Lets hope either Smart doll or volks picks up that gap in the market.

Speaking of gaps... If I really had my choice, Volks would make a DD between the MDD & DDS size (the Volks equivalent of the Obitsu 45cm) because that's what I'd really like for Rin & Len (and Rainie and Ringo...) but so far Obitsu seems the only one inclined to make that size.

I was just thinking the same thing. They should make an in between the DDS or MDD.

That's a size I want too! Rin and Len seem a little small for DDS and a little big for MDD. And there are lots of anime characters in that size range.

I have to say, if they look anything like they do in my head I might just have snag one (or both) of them.

*sigh* So the Miku Siren outfit set will be a click war item next January.

Good luck to anyone who is trying to get this. I'm not so sure about it anymore... I was so hyped at first but the more I look at this outfit... It looks less and less "must have" for me. I don't think my Miku would be wearing it a lot.

I'm probably pointing out the obvious on the "Siren" outfit but it's from "the happiness and peace of mind committee". Knowing that makes me think my Miku will like it more. She'll probably grab the microphone and start commanding that everyone in the house be happy!

I'm unfamiliar with how these sorts of things work; so even though the Siren outfit is listed as being available at an event, it is still going to be available online? Should I keep an eye out on the English Volks JP site or the USA Volks site? ( x _ x ) *is serious about trying to get the Siren outfit*

The Siren outfit will be available 16.1.2016 at the Volks Website Store (JP). That's when the Dolls Party 34 After Event will be held. Check the specific time (probably 10am or 11am) from the website couple days before the event.

Is it official that Volks will create a DD boy for Len? or is it all just speculation?

 

As exciting as this all is, I don't want to lose my mind -yet- until I know for certain that Volks will make a DD boy.

 

Making the character of Len with a DDS female body and SS bust would be an insult. In that case, just make Ren and leave Len alone.

 

I have 2 DDS boys already I customized myself (chopped off the boobs and recreated/molded the torso with epoxy, sanded off and painted) and I love how the torso turned out. Looks natural, completely flat when they use tight shirts but the hips still bother me. I don't want to buy Len with the DDS female hips. If that's how it is, I would just buy another DDS, customize it and get a cheaper head for another boy.

 

I will keep my "OMG" screams until I see official news from Volks that they will be making a 100% DD boy body for Len.

UGH! Tell me about it. This is the one thing that really annoys me about Lucas' body. Good thing he likes wearing baggy clothes that hide it.

This! I'm excited to see Rin and Len in the vinyl, and I'm really hoping it's the start of a new DD line. C'mon, Volks, it's not like you don't have experience sculpting boys--make a male DD already!

Well seeing the nov/Dec stuff has been announced I'm guessing volks will wait til next year to announce the twins?

 

And my hunch is, if they are waiting til next year, it means it's gonna be a big announcement, new year new direction kind of thing, so possibly they're not gonna be putting Len on any kind of girl body....

That's a good point Oni-chan! I hope you're right. Volks has been keeping real quiet since the initial announcement, maybe it's a sign of something new. . . or maybe they just have long lead times.
