Kagamine Rin & Len & New Miku outfits!*pic updated*

I've also been itching for news on Len in particular. I've wanted a boy for some time and how Len looks will decide if I go for him or get Smart Doll Eiji(who I'm still trying to warm up to tbh). It could also change who I decide to make my boy into. Long story short, I gotta see Len!!! XD

 

As for when they'll be shown, I was really hoping for an announcement on their birthdays back in December, but that has already passed. The Snow festival gives us decent chances too--especially since DD Miku will be involved. Wonderfestival gives us a pretty good chance too since Volks has shown stuff there before. Azone does too, but doll news usually comes at the end since there's so much more figure stuff. But even though Volks has shown stuff there before, I wonder if they won't wait for a more doll centric event to showcase something so different like a male DD or even just new dolls.

 

Going by Volks' usual MO, it'll probably be via Volks News, with possibly some in-person showcasing later at Volks Stores and/or Dolpa.

 

Think the next Volks News is sometime this month?

I'm dying for an update on this project as well. I just Wanna see them while I'm very interested in seeing Len, I'm more interested in Rin. I'm more likely to buy her honestly, I'm not sure I want a boy yet :/

 

I also really want to see the ribbon girl set...

I've been postponing Eiji and another doll because I want to see Len first. He is my priority right now so I hope Volks is serious about this and he should come with a boy body or else....

Yes, Volks always goes to Wonder Festival. It's mostly to promote their PVC figures and Charagumin resin kits, but they sometimes have DD on display too. At February WonFes one year ago they were showing off the prototype Snow Miku in a nice diorama.

I'm really curious about how they will do the twins, I feel the same as some here in thinking it probably won't feature an actual male DD body. ^^; But you never know!

I really want to see Rin especially, she was the first Vocaloid I ran into actually so she's always been kind of my favorite. I might want her more than Miku! XD

Ribbon girl is at the Volks booth at the Sapporo snow fest, not wonfest, I was there yesterday and I didn't see her and was kinda sad. (Was pretty disappointed with Volks at wonfest tbh...)But I get to go to Sapporo tomorrow so I'll get to see at least the ribbon girl outfit in person! It looks so cute! I really hope there's more info on Rin before the order for that outfit starts because I want it for Rin but don't even know if it'll fit her without knowing what kind of body she has.

Torino, Ah, okay. I was browsing twitter yesterday for WonFes stuff and since the Ribbon Girl outfit tweet didn't specify the location, I assumed it was from Volks' WonFes booth. I'd completely forgotten that Volks was at Sapporo Snow Festival as well. My bad!

 

But well, at least it was on display somewhere and we got to see photos, haha. xD Can't say the same about the twins... ;__; I sure hope that all this waiting means that Volks has gone all out with Rin and Len and they'll be super fabulous when we finally get to see them!

Feeling so excited every time I see this thread bumped just to find no Len updates XD I hope they have some previews for us at least?? Like the size?? I'm worried they're going to be MDD, as there's a large chance. Of course DDS size would be perfect for Rin, but that would make Len being on a boy body even more improbable >_> Since they'd have to make a DDBrother(?) One can dream, though. I really have no idea what to expect.

I really have no high expectations from Volks regarding Len. I hope they surprise me and that I will say "I was wrong!". I'm suspecting that it's going to be a female body with ss chest. Even though I suspect this, I'm refusing to buy any other doll until I see Len, just in case I'm wrong so I can preorder him immediately. If it is a female body I would feel insulted and I will not purchase him. I have 2 boys with DDS bodies (I removed the boobs) but that's because I had no other alternative. If it is a work from Volks, they can give us a boy DD so they should step up their game and not give us a lazy result.

Unfortunately I really think this is going to be the case. Probably not even male though just completely flat. Not only do I think Volks won't go out on a limb like that, but I feel there would be WAY more hype. As it would be a big change in what they typically do.

So late to this thread. lol. I am not a huge fan of the twins but I might not be able resist Len. Who wouldn't want a boy DD? I really want Luka because she is my favorite! I hope they keep going with the volcaloids. Excited!

Ughhhhh! The lack of updates on this is killing me! I really hope that he won't just have a SS chest, that would feel like a sellout....

They seriously are taking far too long to show further details on these two, it's killing me. If they go with a more adult Len I'd be very tempted but I'm still leaning towards the idea of us getting stuck with a pair of MDDs (which is cool but not what I want from Len).

 

A Luka DD would be the sexiest thing on Earth.

Yeah this wait is killing me. I'm surprised they didn't say anything at the event, but I wonder if they got questions. I actually wouldn't mind a pair of MDDs. I am extremely disappointed and honestly... a little upset that he probably won't be a full sized boy, but I don't know. I'm just happy it's happening. I'll take what I can get.

There was, finally, an update...unfortunately not the greatest one though.

The text next to their names says they'll ''appear" in summer this year. 'appear' isnt the word usually used for preorder dates so I doubt preorders will start then and who knows how long after this 'appearance' we'll have to wait for that to happen. According to this sign though they're still in development.

I mean sure, I'm glad theres SOME kind of update but I'm still let down that we probably have to wait a bare minimum of 3 months to see any more of them. And 'summer' doesnt exactly narrow it down, either.

Part of me hopes that they do make an appearance at an event or something before then and the 'appear' is referring to official product photoshoots, but that may be wishful thinking.

 

With how long this is taking, I really hope it's because of new bodies being developed and not just Volks being slack. MDD just seems too small for Rin/Len (although it would be adorable) while DDS is too tall. Although it would make finding clothes harder I imagine.

If they are in development perhaps they are coming out with a new boy or andro body. Why else would it take so long?
