Kagamine Rin & Len & New Miku outfits!*pic updated*

Well, I don't know about Len/Rin but other Volks dolls that have available option parts for sale separately often come as a sheet with that doll's papers.

 

My Volks Miku's papers came with a mail-order sheet for an additional wig (shipping within Japan only) available until a certain deadline. Volks SDGr girls have also come with order sheet in their papers for additional hand parts (also Japan only with order cut-off deadline).

Yes, Senbonzakura has been confirmed for Rin and Len, for Autumn 2016. At the bottom of their information pages, it's stated in text (Checked the English pages) "Senbonzakura outfit set (Ni no Sakura: Butterfly / Fan Dance)

will be released in autumn 2016!! Don’t miss it!"

They actually announced it the same time they announced the dolls themselves. You'd think they'd have shown what the outfits look like by now, though. Maybe they'll show them at Dolpa today.

The proxy I ordered my Len through said they would try to snap some pictures if they were allowed to, I'll be sure to show them here if they do. I asked for some good closeups, but we will see.

 

I'm really curious to see how they're going to do the Senbonzakura outfits if the doll is so limited, unless they are just going to release it as a lottery piece for everyone which would be awesome. If they show that outfit, someone who is going should definitely sneak a picture

I just got confirmation from my friend that the preorder for Rin (and another friends Len) went through without a hitch. So not only can I breathe easy, I can finally confirm that my lottery spaces for the JP lottery are up for grabs on a first come first served basis. PM me if you want to take either of those slots. (please only do it if you are confident you'll be able to pay.) If I win there won't be any fees involved unless you count shipping and whatever fees are involved in international bank transfers (I'm hopefully going to be able to get a jp PayPal account to make this easier though) EDIT- Slot for Len has been claimed but people can still claim a backup slot (i.e. in the event that the first person falls through or we both win) Rin is still open.

 

My friend also took some photos at the event! If littlebirdzoom's proxy also got photos I'd like to see those too though, especially since the one of just Len isnt so clear.

(Also, if the Senbonzakura outfits were on display anywhere at Dolpa my friend didnt see them. I assume they're going to be clickwar items later - its not like theres a law that they can only be put on Rin or Len)

Edited - not sure why Mimiyo could see them if no one else could though.

The more I see of Len, the more I really like him too. No offense to Len fans, but I always thought Len's hair was super goofy looking and it looks so much better like this (without the giant bit sticking up in front).

No offense taken. He's adorable either way, and in doll form this will be easier to maintain so I'm not complaining. and I've noticed a lot of people having issues with images not displaying lately on this site. I usually can see them when others can't so idk what it is.

My pictures of Len didn't turn out well unfortunately. There were so many people crowding around them I was too shy to get too close. I was surprised how his wig looked though. It was not as nice as the promo photos I'm sure some styling will fix it though (even though I'm not planning to use any of his default stuff).

My proxy wasn't able to get pictures, they said it was too busy and the only one they snapped weren't as good as the ones posted here. They are both so adorable!! I am so excited! Their wigs look a lot different than normal (aka other DD releases) like... they're more producty and look not as smooth. Probably just because they're heavily styled.

Hey so my proxy has been telling me Volks will be shipping out the dolls preordered at Dollpa on August 27th.

That's what it says on the site, yeah. However there's still the chance that they ended up with many more preorders than they expected, in which case they'll either delay them or release them in waves. They haven't said anything about whether this is the case yet.

I've been avoiding reading the posts in this thread because I've been so heartbroken over Len. And then today happens to be when the Lottery opens. I really wasn't expecting that.

 

Just last week I finished paying off another of my 'Dream boys' and was relieved that I'd have some financial breathing room for a bit... but LEN! This looks like it just might be the first time I'll be able to save up for the lottery in time. I'm cringing because I have to go into extreme penny pinching mode to do it as well as having to spend way more time than I'm comfortable with planning out our budget. This is not the first time I've made this sacrifice for our DD, nor will it be the last. It's just so hard doing it time and time again without much breathing room in between. But LEN!

 

All this time I've been thinking through the possability and/or probibility of Volks making the DDSB standard or not and for the first official DD boy, I just don't want to take that risk if I can help it. Plus a standard body wouldn't come with a keytar.

 

I'm so much more nervous about this than I normally would be, not because it's lottery but because I'm trying to seriously think through if I want to really persue Len. Knowing that if I start, it won't end until I have him, come hell or high water. Even so, aftermarket prices are enough to make me sick and I'm really fearful of the misery it may cause me. This coming right after getting an old limited sculpt for a boy I neary gave up trying to get after 3 years. To be perfectly honest, i entirely expect to lose the lottery but there is always that stupidly optomistic part of me that always tries to hold onto hope. And that's the part that always causes such heartbreak.

 

I'm actually having a hard time deciding on this. I guess I'll have to see what Raven thinks about it.

I'm nearly crying and shaking right now... and the shock of entering in for Len hasn't even sunk in yet.

 

I talked with Raven about the financial end of things and the problem with my OCD personality being that once the lottery was over and I didn't win that it wouldn't be the end of it. Len has now become entirely non-optional. It was so much easier for Raven to tell me to put my entry in for Len than it was for him to decide on if he was going to get Miku. I was really prepared for him to tell me that it was just going to be too difficult that when he gave me the okay to enter, I had to have him repeat it two more times before it started to sink in.

 

So let me state this clearly: If I don't win (I don't expect to) and someone else has a Len available, please let me know A.S.A.P. I would really hope to find him for the same price as the lottery but I'm already trying to anticipate what Evilbay prices will be. By the Volks payment date I'd have the funds for him in cash. I'm willing to do nearly anything to get him. If there was any point in the time I've been in the DD hobby that I need enablers, it's now.

There are lots of splits available for Len from people who have ordered more than once. Maybe put your name down? You could also ask friends to enter on your behalf, but then I suppose there's the risk of everyone winning.

 

I hope you get your Len! He's a real cutie and is sure to be one of the most iconic Volks dolls to date.

I went ahead and entered for both, even though I doubt I'll win for either one. I figure that the worst case is it strengthens the chances of Volks rereleasing them/making the DDSB standard if they get a big response.

 

Still, I'm holding out a little hope just because. Good luck to everyone!

Hnnnggghh I was going to enter but, they are out of my price range right now and I highly doubt I'll have the money by October (or that I'll even win to begin with). They aren't on the top of my priority list right now but when I'm ready maybe someday I'll track them down.

Depending on how I feel when I see it in person there's a good chance I'm going to sell Len's outfit/keyboard off. We'll see, but if anyone is after them PM me and I can hold things.

On another note, since I already got mine my lottery entries are up for grabs if anyone wants me to enter on their behalf (I have tons of amazing feedback everywhere!). I'd love to help people get their dolls!

Been meaning to post here for a long time, but popping in to say I entered the lottery and one friend is entering for me, but I would be first in line to buy anyone's dolls if I lose both. I know I don't have feedback but I'm super good on my word (I'll call baldylox out on that). The twins are my all time loves and I simply must have them but aftermarket prices would kill me (too many other expenses right now).
