Kagamine Rin & Len & New Miku outfits!*pic updated*

Oh, I didn't realize Len and Rin were available on the Volks store ! This is so tempting !

Thanks to not many people being interested in them (kinda sad, unless Volks just made too many?) I was able to buy Rin in January from graduation money. Rin and Len are my favorite Vocaloids (with Miku close behind) so I am very happy to have both of them now. They just look so cute together!

Also, I do not know if it is just my Len, but he looks like such a punk/annoyed teenager when I have him pose with Miku and Mirai. He brightens right up when he is paired up with Rin though. . . like the only girl he wants to sit with is Rin. Kinda funny.

 

I also got all the Senbonzakura outfits for everyone, they look so great, I love the Senbonzakura wig for Len so much better than his default wig, and the dark blue eye chips are beautiful.

I'm still trying to decide if I order Rin or not. I was supposed to find a 09 head for my character, but maybe Rin would fit. She seems super cute.

Two things:

 

1. Do people need to wash Len's clothes first to prevent staining? I'm assuming you wouldn't wash the vinyl parts like the sleeves and socks. I've heard about tags staining from other companies, and Len's boxers have a Volks tag, so hmm.

 

2. I am dying that I can't afford Rin right now. It's 110% awful. *cry*

I've only heard that they do indeed stain. Same goes for Kagamine Rin. It's the main reason why I sold the Kagamine Rin default set since I didn't plan to use her default + it stains anyway. But because I sold it I didn't try washing or anything. But the main part that stains is the vinyl material on the outfits.

 

As for the Volks tag there was a thread talking about it.

As far as I know I have yet to get a stain from the Volks tags themselves, but if you wish you can put some Volks tape to cover it if you're that concerned.

I can confirm that Len's vinyl pieces DO stain. I bend his arms and didn't notice/think that the vinyl was touching his skin and yep, it stained. Thankfully it was just a couple of small spots and come out with treatment. Still, I'd suggest being careful with those. I thought about trying to wash them, but considering the material and extra pieces, I don't feel comfortable or safe trying it.

Could I just do a photo shoot with the sleeves on for a few hours and then take them off without staining?

I had my Len's default set on for about a week before I changed him into some casual clothes and didn't get any staining on him.

It was the Autumn Classical outfit that stained him through a bodysuit though. :c

I would still be careful but a few hours should be fine. The only staining I've gotten on Rin is some yellow on her shoulder but its not noticeable unless I remember its there and look for it. Granted she hasn't spent a great deal of time in her default because she looks so good in anything she's always changing clothes.

Yeah, that should be fine. I've had my Len in his default for days at a time without stains, just make sure the black vinyl isn't touching his skin.

Lol, not me! I bought a spare Snow Miku outfit for "play time" with my Snow Miku doll. After spending 20 minutes getting them on those sleeves and not likeing what it did to the glossy material I did not attempt it with the Hatsune outfit or either of the twin's sleeves. I plan to leave them snug in the boxes they came in. Its not like they are that noticable anyway.

The black bits on Miku's outfit didn't give me any trouble, but Rin and Len's are much smaller and don't want to go on, let alone stay on. I know they'll just fall off and get lost if I put them on.

So the sleeves and feet thing and maybe the trim on the trim are prone to staining?

So I lucked out and managed to sell one of my old bjd boys, It was enough to pay for Len<3 I'm planning on getting a custom faceup and such. I want to buy him some outfits and was just wondering what seems to fit best on him?

 

I also need to find a nice pair of glasses...

 

Looking forward to his arrival I can't wait! It's my 1 year anniversary soon with my first DD girl Akane, So it's funny to me her brother arrives exactly 1 year later.

He's kinda hit and miss with clothes because of his size. Stuff made for DD girls fits as well as it fits a DDS girl. For boys clothes he's closest to SD13, but that varies a lot. I have one SD13 set that fits him almost perfectly, but then I have a SD-13 3-piece suit that is way too big for him and just looks wrong. Both are Volks, so I really dont know why this is.

I haven't tried a great deal of stuff sold as 'sd-13' from other brands except for TTYA and I think that fits well - I've only tried shirts/hoodies though. They are just a little baggy but not in a bad way. The smartdoll jeans also fit him pretty well - baggy at the top, but the shirt covers that.

here he is in the aforementioned SD13 Volks set that fit him. I say almost perfectly because the collar of the shirt is a bit gappy but not a dealbreaker. This particular outfit does seem to be pretty popular with Lens from what i've seen.

Anyway, stuff made for small-chested DD or DDS or SD13 is your best bet, just know that there is a chance SD13 -could- be on the baggy side. I'm hoping Volks make more boys clothes especially for DDSBoy eventually but they probably want to wait till they have more boys first.
