I'm still digging through the thread (and I'm still kinda new to DDs in general) but does anyone know if there's going to be another Miku release this year or should I start looking in the after market for a Snow Miku? If this is answered already, please ignore! I'll find it in the thread eventually.

What I did was get a complete Snow Miku outfit with wig off of Buyee for my Hatsune Miku. I have no idea if they're gonna do about round of Snow Miku's though.

You could open a split on it? I'm somewhat interested in the wig, I know that would cut costs some.

That's only when they're being 'shown', when they'll actually be released is another story. They're being 'shown' in summer (which doesnt really narrow it down) and preorders (if they are preorders) probably will open not too long after that, maybe a month or so. If they're anything like Miku we can expect either late 2017 or early 2018 release OTL (although hopefully they wont get delayed that much. Miku is Miku after all)

Finally!!! I can't wait to see how they look.

I also think it'll be preorders. Lottery leaves too much to chance and there are collectors who would want both to complete the "set" plus both miku's were preorders and more preorders = more money right?!

This is 100% exactly my line of thought. Part of me hopes they're really cute and part of me hopes they're not. Having just survived the Snow Miku pre-order of eternity I'm not sure I'm ready for another one already XD

Im excited to see them and i know im probably gonna love them and the wait will be horrible. Its made worse by the fact that if Len/Rin are new bodies altogether and they dont fit any current sd/msd clothes, then buying clothes/sewing clothes will have to wait till they arrive, so i cant distract myself by preparing for them >~<

 

And for the record, DD Fes is scheduled for July 16 -18 so im gonna guess the reveal will be around then? :/

If that's the case that they would reveal them at the con I'll get to see them in person :3 I'm hoping that's the case. Otherwise it might still be awhile yet until we hear something, probably in August or September.

No, I have a MIDI and a mini-A and the difference between them and a DD is night and day. I don't think a DD boy would be anything like a NEO-go or guy. They are nice little dolls but honestly in that scale Obitsus pose way better.

Also, aren't those bodies ancient and basically discontinued? So, honestly, they're more of a "what could have been", if they'd done DD males right out the gate, rather than what they might sculpt now. . .

The Neo-EB Guy body is at least a decade old -- I know it was around in 2005, and it may be older still. I don't think Volks is going to reference an ancient and discontinued design when/if they design a male DD body... I think they're more likely going to look at popular resin bodies, like the Graffiti body and SD17.

 

Like Jezrah said, that also makes the assumption that a DD is simply a scaled-up EB-Beauty and I can confirm that's very much not true, since I owned several different EB-Beauty bodies during my Pullip collecting days. The proportions are more or less the same (except for the torso, DD has a much shorter torso proportionally), and the joints are about in the same place, but the overall look and feel of the two bodies is incredibly different. The EB-Beauty has a fairly thick torso and skinny noodle limbs, whereas the DD has a very petite torso and shapely arms and legs.

Btw is it me or Len's head is very similar to Miku's? Or is it eyes&make-up combination?
