Kagamine Rin & Len & New Miku outfits!*pic updated*

Rin and Len look pretty good! I kind of like Rin's sculpt a bit more than Miku's. I wonder if they'll give us a bit of a peek at Len's body in the next issue.

It's 3 A.M. where I am and you have no idea how hard I'm trying not to scream, these two look perfect! Fingers SO crossed that they gave Len a unique body! Honestly in those clothes he looks like I would expect a male body to so even if he isn't actually I would be okay with it.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Oh that Rin looks good to me!

There was a blackout today and the power took ages to come back on. We couldnt cook any dinner without the power so we ordered a pizza, and we're finishing up and watching tv. As I finish the last of my coke, I hop on twitter just to see what i missed during the blackout.

I actually dropped my coke. I GOT COKE EVERYWHERE BUT I DONT CARE

edit: Now that I've calmed down enough to read what Len's tweet says, it seems weird to me.

Its weird that they call him a Dollfie Dream Sister but then go on to call him a 'boy type'. If they mean that he's the same height as a DDS, why not give it a new name like Dollfie Dream Brother or something? I'm glad they clarified the 'boy type' thing though because otherwise I'd be assuming he just has a flatchested DDS body. I'm still cautious about that though, due to the wording.

 

ugggh I already knew I was getting Rin but Len looks so perfect for a sculpt type I want. I probably cant afford them both but if I can get just Len's head/body some time down the road, maybe...

It's wonderful to finally see pictures of them both! I have to say that just from these pictures they match how I thought they would look perfectly. Now I want even more pictures

 

@Torino Haha I love your reaction to the news! Hopefully all that coke was easy to clean up I also think they could have given a better name than just DDS "Boy-Type" but ah well~ I'm also hoping for photos of his body so we can get a good look

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to finally see some photos! *____* They are just perfect! ♥

 

The sculpts look similar to Miku's, but I kind of expected that since they're all Vocaloids after all... while I don't care much for Miku as a default (since I'm not that into Miku in the first place, I'm more of a Meiko, Luka + Rin & Len fan), the Miku's that I've seen with custom face ups are super cute... and these two already appeal to me with their default look, so I'm pretty sure I'll love them!

 

I've been trying to tell myself that I can't afford to get them both so I should only get Len (so that Volks will hopefully realise that there is a demand for male DDs and at least release Kaito too someday) but now that there are photos of both, they are so, so perfect and look super adorable together... ;__; I hope they'll be up for pre-order so that I could have plenty of time to collect money and maaaaybe swing both. Maybe.

 

I'd guess they're saying both are Dollfie Dream Sister so that Volks fans will know what size they are... maybe later on they will announce an official name for the boy type dolls? Especially if they'll end up releasing more boys in addition to Len. But I'm sure that Len has an actual boy body... if they were just going to put him on a girl body, I'm sure they could've provided photos of them months ago already. It must've taken them this long to show them precisely because they were developing a new boy type body.

Guess we wont know till Volks News is out. I'm so impatient for that now because I just realised we can't see Rin's whole body at all! It was nice of them to show all of Len at once though..

I just had a very far future thought though, will they release new hand types for "boy-type" as most of the current hands are rather feminine ^×^

Called it! Just as I said Len looks great. Never for a second thought Volks would half ass the body with using a female one. Most likely Len has the DDs skeleton but with new vinyl parts so boy type is correct.

 

Now to see Volks news and confirm it'll be a pre-order. ^^

Just saw the pics. They are both so cute but I'm really excited about the possibility of owning a DD boy! I wonder if he'll have larger feet and hands.

OMG *0*!! They're both so cute! At first I thought I'd only get Len since he'd be the first Male DD, but now I feel like I want to get both of them. >.

Oni-Chan & Talolili, I agree, I'd also like to see Len with bigger and more boyish hands at least. Bigger feet would be a plus, too, in terms of finding shoes... Too bad that Volks has posed Len with his hands behind his neck/head so we can't see them yet! xD

 

And I just remembered... Volks is also going to release Senbonzakura outfits for them, right? So if earlier I thought that I'd get Len + Senbonzakura outfit, now it looks like I'll want Rin & Len and both Senbonzakura outfits... uh-oh! xD;;

I tried zooming in on rin's hands to see if her nails were painted but it just blurs up so im guessing they havent quite worked out their hands yet? Size, painted nails etc, so maybe thats why lens are hiding?

 

Im thinking the feet would be same as DDS /DD too, so they'd only have to make 1 style of len/rin shoes for both of them

 

Also noted that the sleeve cuffs on Len are lined as are his pants and leg warmers. Yayy! his collar is lined but it has a black edge though :/

 

The yellow edges on the leg /arm warmers - tough call to say whether theyd be subtle stain monsters or not :p

 

And another note it looks like Rin's headphones are a seperate piece to her hair bow. Probably a "duh" issue but thought id point it out anyway ^///^

Is it just me, or does Rin's outfit look a little greyish compared to Len's? ( o o; )

That's cos it always has been. Personally it's always irked me, I think they should be the same colour. There are some merch where they make them both black or dark grey, but then others, such as the official figmas, Rin is notably grey while Len is black (http://images.goodsmile.info/cgm/images/product/20091023/9/5197/large/134cdb3b743e066a80efefb8e1c3a822.jpg)

I was kinda hoping Volks would have them the same shade of dark grey/black for the sake of symmetry but oh well, what they did is technically more accurate to the characters designs.

I was going to pass on these, but Rin is looking rather kawaii. Why do I always get in such expensive hobbies. My wife is going to kill be, or at least sever my hand that holds the wallet.

This is AWESOME! Finally, an actual update! And They're so cute! I'm so glad Volks didn't cheap out and just give us a Len on a girl body!

I was absently mindedly looking at twitter before breakfast and saw them! Ahh, I was so surprised! They are really cute and I like Len's boyish face-up. They are different sculpts too, that's good.

 

Mmmm! I want both of them with the Senbonzakura outfits, better start saving now...

 

Ohhh they are adorable, I can't wait for more information and pictures.

Being DDS i am safe from the male body. still interested to see the sculpt of the body though =)
